The moment I saw Patrick Swayze in Dirty Dancing I fell in love with him and I watched every movie he ever made including one that no one mentions called Next of Kin. Perhaps the critics didn't like it but I did. He chose the roles he would play and never played a role that he didn't feel good about. I remember not long after making Dirty Dancing it came to his attention that a young child who had a disorder that I can't recall, and who, after seeing Dirty Dancing, on video reacted to it and had to watch it every day and even started to communicate. Patrick Swayze heard about it and flew out to meet her. That showed his kind heart and my unrequited love continued. That such a good man who had so much to offer died so young is heartbreaking. I will never forget you Patrick and the way you made me feel when I first saw you dance. From a devoted fan.

Just look at at the skilled dancing and the sweet innocence portrayed by Baby. You can feel the honest passion between them. Wow. Casting is key here. And so is the all out willingness and commitment by a previously unskilled dancer to practice and look professional.

Actually, they didn't like each other at all. Patrick was very experienced and Jennifer was ticklish and couldn't get the moves down and he tried to be patient, but she wasn't very nice to him at all so they clashed big time. Still an excellent movie, and if you didn't know about the behind the scenes challenges - they both did a great job of hiding it. R.I.P. Patrick ~♥~
@kerzytibok321111 ай бұрын
I think Patrick was a perfectionist when it came to acting and he was a little angry that Jennifer wasn't taking the dance practice for the scenes all that seriously

I ain't seen the remake before but cause I grew up with this movie (1980 I am, I won't even try to watch it. So what's the narrative of this science it's so complexed but simple meaning the science covers damn near every viewer the director had easy job with these cats I guess what I'm trying to get at is every parent or FATHER is going to feel the same way the good doctor felt see even a trained educated man like himself had a lasp and on there side the science got great soundtrack and sexy young unknown actors the drvolprd chemistry as if they had worked together on a soap opera for 20 years it really is once of those sciences u could watch everytime u are attending a moment event u get the picture

Saw this movie with my mom when it came out in 87' i wanted to see robo cop, but i had to have an adult. She said ill make a deal with you. Ill take you to see Robo cop but you gotta go see dirty dancing with me. My sister was supposed to go with her but she went to the coast with my dad, so i said of course mom even if i don't get to see Robo cop you're not sitting alone in the theatre. Great times that day. I didn't think i would like dirty dancing because i don't like musicals, or dance movies. My mom said you have to learn how to dance, no son of mine isnt gonna know how to dance. She said trust me you'll thanklk me for it when the girls start dancing with you, and they know you can dance and you're not afraid to dance. She was right. I had a damn group of girls hanging out with me all the time at school. 6 girls in my flock. Lol all because i could dance really well.
