+Pony Power Ahh, now there you have a few options. Keep her, sell her, upgrade her, modify her or even give her away as a competition/subscriber prize. Maybe even do a special road trip with her and do a small tour with her and make a video of the drive. Even combine the tour with the one of the above suggestions. I know I'd be up for buying her in a March as I may be able to afford it then and I'd rather a bike I know has been done correctly, then one I don't know. Though not sure if the last one is allowed on youtube? Though I don't see why as long as the winner can either collect or ride her away legally. You'll work out something for her I'm sure!

I know I'm late to the party here but if you're still interested in nozzles, try looking for a paint shop that stocks a lot of aerosol that graffiti artists go for. They often have a selection of different caps. Looks for a shop with brands like Montana, Ironlak etc. Not sure what else you'll find in the UK.

I forgot to ask, is it better when painting plastic..... to strip it down, then start with Primer as you have done...??.....rather than try and paint on top........Thanks for all the videos
@dirtygarageguy8 жыл бұрын
+ROY Dean you can buy special paint for plastics. They have an etching chemical added to help the paint key to the part. Because Im using standard paint, primer is the way to go. Priming is like starting with a clean canvas.
@motorcyclerefurbishment81628 жыл бұрын
+Pony Power ....I will also...prefer that way......as you can sand......out...any blemishes.........I noticed that you seemed to use primer 3 coats...and paint maybe 6 coats...is that about right...or was that just for the metal tank..... Matt....
@dirtygarageguy8 жыл бұрын
+ROY Dean if your apply lacquer then the paint coat count is all about coverage. With primer you want enough coats so when you sand afterwards it doesn't instantly disappear with one stroke of the sand paper. With paint it depends what colour your using. Black tend to require less coats where translucent colours needs loads of coats. Just keep going until your happy with the colour. The material doesn't matter if your using primer, thats kinda the point of primer, its a go between.

Hello, man! Any news about the project? I changed the brake fluid on my ER5, cleaned the chain (with diesel) and lubed it with engine oil (just for the moment, I will buy some spray-cans with cleaner and lube-liquid before take it to the road). I know engine oil is no good for the chain, but for the moment, I can see the metal :D, the chain was ok, but very dirty. Bought a helmet and some knee-protectors from louis.de and now I am waiting for the jacket (was not in store's stock, they will send it this week). Good luck with the project!

You can buy caps off of this website, they're caps that are made for graffiti so there's a whole range or different sizes. www.graff-city.com/index.php?cPath=1_87 Might be something of use to you there!

@dirtygarageguy8 жыл бұрын
+Hahah Hdjdj you mean a belly pan? They're not OEM parts for the ER5, you have to buy one for another bike and adapt it to fit. I'll be doing this in an upcoming video
