I with you girl! This is my first year back to full time work and I have cried almost every night since Thanksgiving because I feel like I’m failing at creating memories. I’m going to do a little decorating each day of the week. And I’m going to remind myself it’s for my kids. Not magazines or to say I’m that good. But to do it because it brings joy to the kids and I. Let it be. Let the love fill in. Let God do his thing.

Fast forward 3 years later and just starting to really see your surrounding and thinking how the heck did this happen....well it started that spiral of overwhelmed and Not knowing were exactly to start in putting thing back I order....Soo glad to finally be at a point that I can see though.....finding that starting point is still hard, work in progress...some days it is literally a minute by minute journey or hour by hour, the most important but the hardest thing is to get up and move....Hope everyone has a Blessed, Beautiful, and productive Day!!!

Love your channel! Agreed with your notion of living more “present”. I find that the everyday stress of cleaning, cooking, taking care of the kids, etc takes me away from spending quality time with my kids. I have major OCD when it comes to cleaning and I find that it constantly disrupts my fun time with them because I cannot “let go” and want everything to be spotless. I keep trying to remind myself that when they grow up, my kids will remember me as cleaning all of the time rather than playing with them and it makes me sad! I’m glad that I am not alone on this one....and I too “pile and procrastinate”.

Sorry for your loss. They say grief never goes away, it just changes. Maybe you can create a new tradition of making a special time around the holidays to remember him, with family or alone. Look at photos, share memories. That way, you can begin to build sweet (bittersweet but still sweet) associations with him+the holidays. Do it at the beginning of the season to put yourself in a strong, grounded head space, knowing he loved you and would want you to cherish the holidays, not dread them. Hugs to you

😞😞😞 I feel your pain. I have lost 3 at Christmas time now. And I hate that it just takes a word, a sound, a smell, to make me break out in tears. But I have found that it does help to acknowledge it and set time aside to feel it and let it go. Again. Even if It IS every year, I find that it makes it a bit easier that I keep making time to remember them and feel their absence.

This is exactly this platform needs. A little bit more of reality. Not saying everyday is messy and just about getting through the day, but not every day is as perfect as the social media makes it seem. A very inspiring video!!! ❤️

As a single mom I began watching your videos for organization tips and fun inexpensive decorating techniques, but I have come reather enjoy and apperciate how you show some of the chaos that also happens in your life too. I see so many videos that just come and show everything working out perfect for everyone, but it's nice to see that I'm not the only one who lives in chaos and that is okay. Your videos help motivate me to be a better mom and a better person. So thank you for that!

I don't have kids...but I work 11 hrs a day with special needs. Even though it is VERY rewarding and I absolutely LOVE what I do, by the time I get home at the end of the day, I am drained emotionally and mentally...so housework has been on the back burner for me. I take the one of the 2 days I have off to replenish myself to be able to give to my client's for the next up-coming week. The other day I do laundry and cook a home cooked meal that I don't have time for during the week. I SO needed this video because I have became so overwhelmed with things in my house!! Because of you and this video, I am now working on a schedule of 30 minutes every night when I get home to do something and work on getting my house back in order. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!!!

Probably people who are jealous of how amazing she is lol. Or think that KZbinrs aren't allowed to be human and things can't be messy/difficult/etc. Because I see that a lot.

So many parents can become a one man/woman band at this time of year ...the cooking the cleaning , the shopping , the wrapping , the remembering everything and everyone so your tip of lowering your bar and not being so hard on yourself really spoke to me 😘♥️

Kathryn, this video was AWESOME!!! You knocked it out of the park when you mentioned, "It's not procrastinating, it's the habit of procrastinating." Loved the tips on How to get control of things!! That hit the nail on the head with me lately. Thanks so much for your video's. Blessings from my family to yours!

I'm a perfectionist and constantly feel anxious. I have times when I have trouble getting motive or timed when I feel down; those are the times I watch your videos and they have helped soo much! They've gotten me moving, gotten me to remember what's truly important, and helped bring me peace. Thank you for all you do!

Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ I just lost my mom few months ago. She lived with me for 14 years. She was so very sick towards the end. I let everything slide so I could look after her. Now I’m having to pick up not only the mess but also myself so I can make this Christmas still special for my daughter and family. This gave me huge inspiration to keep working on it.

1-I burn toast all the time. When I do, I just scrape off the burnt part with a knife over the sink or trash can and no one knows. Lol! 2-Thank you for sharing the motivational speaker clip. I needed that strategy. Count backward, recognize your stressed and work for 5 min. So great!!! 3-I thought about cleaning my fridge this morning BEFORE I saw your video bc it's Wed and I attempt to clean portions of the kitchen today. Now I might have to. Lol! Thanks lady. Love this post, thank you for being real. Been following you for years. It's amazing how you have changed and your video quality. Great job!
