Disney made a choice to listen to Peter Dinklage. Peter Dinklage doesn't have executive clout nor a stake in the film to eliminate dwarf actors. A few interviews with some of the dwarfs talking about the film would have put all of that worry to bed and instilled far more confidence and positivity. Disney should take a leaf from Warner Bros. and it's film Batgirl, and scrap Snow White before its inevitable tanking on opening night and lose a billion dollars.

To be fair, there is nothing wrong to express one's ideal (woke or not). But to bring unrelated ideal into any 'classic' content will be too unrealistic to achieve. I said unrealistic in the context that today's ideal will be too distance from the materials' setting - time when it was written; the historical & social setting of the material; & the moral standard of the specific time it was written. Can you imagine how they would change or what they will insert into if they are going to remake a modern 60's To Kill A Mocking Bird or 90's Lord of the Flies. Instead, I think studio can create/make a brand new original movie with a new story, inserting any ideal(s) they would like to be inclusive and there will be one less controversy regarding classic material not modern enough for today's audience. Then we can still appreciate the old classic without angering modern audience, and at the same time modern audience have their new movies to go to.
