Great takes on this list. You won’t hear me bag on Innovas core discs but you are spot on with the destroyer. It’s an amazing disc that a lot of people have and it’s hurting their ability to throw correctly.

You're right about the mermaid. I picked one up on a steep sale thinking the flight numbers meant it would be a decent fairway option for windy conditions. Turns out it was on steep sale for a reason. I wouldn't totally discount Dynamic though. The Escape in premium plastic is a decent choice for 9-speed.

If you like the envy (even if mostly for it's notoriety) you need to try a proxy. It's the same core as the envy, but flies dead straight and far. Where the envy has that bite of fade, the proxy continues moving straight forward. As the wraith is the people's destroyer; the proxy is the people's envy.

Got a Flare recently. It just doesn't fly... It does flare skip off the ground amazing in my experience thus far. Has use as a get out of thick woods disc or on a day with 20mph winds. Still the worst streamline disc I've tried.

I have a Mermaid!! My only Discmania mold… I use it when I take my kids to the lake. Bring the mermaid and a kayak and just throw it as hard as I can into the lake and race out to find it. Great times and practice!

When you finally throw a Proxy you will be sorry about it. It's the same core as the Envy, just understable/stable. It's easily the BEST straight putter ever made. EVER! It's the perfect compliment to the Envy and if I had to pick only one mold to throw for the rest of my life it would be the Proxy. I can throw it 300feet laser straight, and I suck.
