Great work, the speedwork is paying off. I did notice that when you are hitting the hardest, you're staying on the ball of the back foot through the transition and as you get tired, you start settling onto you heel and making the move from your heel and end up in the backseat. The work you're putting into studying the form will continue to pay dividends and I'm psyched to watch the progress. I've always talked about wanting to see some real atheletes dial in optimal form, and you are definitely making it happen!

Thanks man! And great eye on noticing the heel/falling back issue as I get fatigued. I am suspicious that my posterior chain is reverting to a lazy shutdown mode when that happens, even though I am trying to fight it hard haha. Will keep plugging away nonetheless so we can see what's possible 👊

Loopghost! Good to hear from you! I am always on my back heel, and forgot that I do that, so thanks for bringing it to my attention. I've been working on a lot of DG Spin Dr's advice lately. Had a couple nice throws between thunderstorms today

How do you train to increase arm speed? I need big help in that area
@NickKrush.DGandFit
@NickKrush.DGandFit 10 ай бұрын
I have a couple of videos on my channel where I give some exercises and mental cues, but most of arm speed will be a product of overall athletic capability and quality of form 👍

sick video! if you ever get the chance to try a Star Corvette from Innova that thing has crazy glide and fights back at the end in a forward manner!

Corvettes are bombers for sure and one of the most forward pushing 14 speeds I've thrown or seen.

Is there a particular collagen supplement that you would recommend?

Yes, I personally use the brand "Ancient Nutrition" multi-collagen powder that has vitamin C already inside.

Ive got a question: when you're doing standstills or normal x-steps, how much of a coil are you feeling in your core? Are you trying to maximize the stretched feeling?
@NickKrush.DGandFit
@NickKrush.DGandFit 10 ай бұрын
I feel a strong coil pressure across my core and against my rear leg+foot in both. It took more work to get the sensation in my x-steps since they add more complexity and timing requirements, but when the coil feels strong I usually throw my best. Pulling the left shoulderblade to the target for your shoulder turn while maintaining pressure against the rear foot's inside ball of foot/big toe can help with this.
@polecat3067
@polecat3067 10 ай бұрын
@@NickKrush.DGandFit damn I think I've been missing out on that. Most of the time I only feel coil in my upper back/right lat, but recently I've been trying to coil as far as I can and the sensation is exactly as you describe all down my back to my leg

I started a few weeks ago but might start practicing lefty backhand as well to see if that is more useful and enjoyable for me.

From an x-step, around 500ft with hyzers and 550ft with golf-style s-curves

I think you could throw a bit further if you timed your reachback correctly i know its hard when throwing as hard as you can and as fast as you do but now when your right foot plants your arm is already in the pocket when it should be at full extension at that point.

I 100% agree, I've had tons of comments about it and have been working hard on it since well before I started putting these videos up, still trying hard to make some more improvements there to get the elastic loading timed up perfectly 👍

So consistent and balanced with those 360s! Do you ever enter any tournaments on long open courses? Im gonna take your tip and do some sprint work the day before my tournament this weekend🤙keep slingin em man

@NickKrush.DGandFit 10 ай бұрын
Thanks you! Trying me best to be clean and balanced on the 360s and hoping to keep improving a little bit. I haven't competed in a tourney yet, but hoping after track season I'll have more bandwidth for course play. Good luck with the sprints, I'd also recommend to keep them on the easier side and at least 48 hours out, just in case you get any unwanted soreness going into the tournament 👍
