Wow, does your husband have a brother? LOL... I'm still to answer myself if I would have continued to date and marry someone who disclosed that they are HIV+. I think because of my fears and pains it would be easy to reject than accept. But this video has taught me to ask God for courage and compassion. To understand at the end of the day we are all God's children.And if I say I love you why then do I judge you and reject you. Thanks for this message.

Sharing with friends is a scary thought, because those friends (even though they will swear they won't) will tell their friends and relatives, then those will also tell their friends and families, that's how information will get around town and eventually get to your mom... See how easy it was for her to get the information from your brother... I would have said " it's something she wants to talk to you about", but most people are not like that they love to be the one spilling the beans...

Thank you for asking. My husband is HIV negative. While I'm on ARVs, to suppress the virus, he's on PreP to protect him from getting infected :)

@@suzzyfosuah.rnieltstutor.4698 Its ARV that a person who is HIV negative can take to prevent him/her from the virus.You take it if you had unprotected sex or other risks that can lead to get HIV.Normally a person is supposed to take within 72hrs after the risk exposure of contracting the virus and you take it for 30days consecutive

PrEP is a dual drug therapy of antiretrovirals which is usually used by people in HIV discordant relationships (ie. One half being positive and the other being negative), whereas PEP is a triple drug therapy of antiretrovirals (sometimes exactly the same as the drugs taken by an HIV positive individual) which is used for the purposes of reducing the risk of transmission of the virus in situations where one may have been exposed to HIV (eg: rape, one night stands, when a condom breaks (whether or not you know the status of the other person)) Both of these services are readily available in public health facilities, however I have noticed that many people do not know that they have these options available to them. A few tests have to be done before starting someone on prophylaxis, but basically that's how it works

I tried but failed many times. Because of family dynamics, my brother really helped. I understand it doesn't work for another person. I agree. But in my case, I'm grateful that he told Ma.
