I have both the caatail and the disco 32. Both are convenient, and are technically antennas. BUT, they are both so compromised (rx & tx) that they are only really useful for inter-squad comms (.5-1 mile maybe, depending on terrain. My light pc wears the caatail, because I'm usually running it with a group of guys in very close proximity to eachother. My heavier rig has the disco 32 relocation kit and a signal stick antenna. This is a much, much better solution if on needs any actual range out of their setup.

Any chance you’ve had time to play around with the extra connectors? I’m desperately trying to figure out which one I would need for a quick detach on a Motorola.
