Welcome to Episode 6 of our Iberia, Morocco & France Vlog series with Oceania.
Our 6-part series (+ a full ship tour walkthrough, and room tour) was filmed over 14 nights, during our cruise aboard Oceania Vista from Barcelona to Southampton, August 2023, where visited Spain, Morocco, Portugal and France (the itinerary heavily focused on the Iberian region), on our way to Southampton England.
This episode covers Bordeaux and Saint Émilion, France.

Barcelona (where we spent a week exploring pre-cruise, largely focusing on Gaudí, a 1908 music hall, and the Zoo);
Malaga (where we explore Alcazaba Fortress);
Tangier (where we visited Cap Spartel, the Hercules Cave and wandered the Casbah);
Cadiz (where we visited Castillo de Santa Catalina and the waterfront);
Lisbon (where we toured Belem Tower, Discoveries Monument, and Praça do Comércio);
Porto (where we toured the historic center and a Port wine lodge) ;
La Coruña (where we visited Tower of Herculee - the operational 1st century Roman lighthouse, and toured the local marina);
Bilbao (where we visited the iconic Guggenheim Museum, Artxanda Park for a sweeping view of the city, and toured the Old Quarter);
Bordeaux (where, on an overnight, we visited the Place des Quinconces - the home of French Revolution monuments, toured the vlilage of Saint Emilion - touring a wine château, and back aboard, took part in Oceania’s Culinary program - learning to make desserts.

Bordeaux: another new place to me. Glad you got to visit a vineyard. Over the years, I've occasionally purchased a good (good, not great!) Bordeaux for a special occasion, I liked your opening sequence with the pool deck's amber illumination prominent against the dawn light - evocative music, too..

Wow Bordeaux was so typically French for me. Beautiful none the less. Love the cooking class Holly did. That would of been a treat to do on that kind of ship. It was a pity the Australia loss. It was a great game either way. Thanks for this series. Really enjoyed it What's next?

You went there just in time. The rest of the legs of my Nautica cruise (Haifa (of course) 2 Egyptian ports, Morocco, Oman, etc. all cancelled and 9 seas put instead until they went through the Panama Canal. I played trivia with a lady every day from Australia, and she was quite upset! They never notified her or her TA they were canceled before she left home, and she found out from a comment the CD made. Who was your CD? We had a lady named Julie from Tasmania. Not quite sure how I felt about her…
