Though l love Nursery Crimes l believe l listened to Foxtrot more because that was the album that exposed me to the band. Being American and around 14 FM radio was just coming into the mainstream and especially late at night they got much deeper into album rock. It was about 2 a.m. on a weekend "Watcher Of The Skies" came on. I'd never heard anything like it before and they didn't name the song or artist. It took me a couple months to discover who it was when they appeared on the TV show "Midnight Special". The following week King Crimson was on that show. In a very brief period l dove headlong into prog rock, a genre l never knew existed. A wonderful time.

@@MusicONplaces If you research Foxtrot + Genesis you may find it is actually named after the dance Foxtrot not the animal Fox, they rehearsed that album in West London at a dance school. It starts out like Scottish Plainsong, I guess. Then it goes through various styles in various sections. The penultimate section is where it becomes what I might call modern, progressive, jazz-rock fusion. I think that Steve Hackett & Phil Collins were influenced by Mahavishnu Orchestra and had a lot to do with that section.

@@Trobtwillis You are good for identifying music styles. I tried to insert the closest music to the mixed music of Genesis. I have not just heard "Tuesday is a State of Mind", but also "Goodby Mr. Simpson" which bounds you in a fresh and psychedelic ambient. I must say that I heard twice "Can't Raise the Dead". This track also kept my ears so alive because of that sweet, fresh and jazzy atmosphere, which make me thing in the Canterbury Scene music and the lyrics are so true, You can't actually raise the dead and it is hard to accept, I truly liked how you mixed that great track with the obscurity of that film.
