@jimhearsonwriter3 ай бұрын
The road builder mod was a game changer anyway, but letting you discover other people's creations is next level - that parking road is sublime. On the buses, is there not a concern that by replacing shelters with just stops, you'll lower the comfort rating so fewer people will use them? As nice as the pergola and seating looks, it's purely aesthetic.
@BiffaPlaysCitiesSkylines3 ай бұрын
I agree great addition and nah, they'll still use the busses :-)

The fact the central subway stop is super-busy suggests to me that you need more stops in the city! 1 stop to cover that huge area is going to create horrific pedestrian congestion. Even if the city is walkable, more stops are way more realistic - look at the centre of London!

A single lane parking might work better to attach to the roads so it doesn't think there are 2 roads side by side coming off. It might cause a backup when a lot of cars are crossing trying to enter/exit.
@bobblebardsley3 ай бұрын
Taking parking off the tramlines was strangely satisfying, I feel like more roads (including normal roads, not tram/bus or anything) with parking on only one side could look really cool, e.g. to create on-road parking outside shops or to remove it alongside a park or something. The custom road builder mod/tool looks really well made, hopefully it doesn't get utterly destroyed by a future game update.

i think realism wise, having so much above-ground parking is for a district so highly populated. Because land prices are just so high to just use them for a few parking spaces would let you use some underground parking a bit more:D. Great Series keep it going!:)

4:12 that curve mode works by using two anchor points for the bend. It's basically shaped like a Z, where the ends of the letter are the two roads you're connecting and the acute angles in the middle are the two points you can place before connecting, and what it does is it curves around those two middle points. SO, if you want to make it work, you basically go straight out from the first road and add a point with equal distance between the two roads, then use the guideline toggle to align to the 2nd road at that similar distance, and finally connect to the 2nd road......... I'm sure this is extremely hard to follow along with xD But it's actually a great tool! You should use it more and use that continuous curve tool less 😅

In the nice pedestrian plaza/ transit with the new urban surfaces, if you cover all of the areas with pavers with a park area people will use the paved areas. They will use them for cutting through as well as standing around. As far as I know, there is not any way to get them to use the benches, but if you place a vanilla park with seating they will use those so you could place a vanilla park and better bulldoze away the props that don't fit, then people will use them. Bonus, you can use the area tool to drag the areas out from the vanilla park- hangaround and other- to bring more life to a detailed area. I think CO must have made the Parks DLC and the tools in CS2 after watching your old videos where you created the custom park areas early in CS1.

Would the road dip get sorted if you bridged or key walled just that one section? It looked like the issue is both connecting roads are higher and there isn't a natural way to raise the middle bit without disrupting the level of the buildings. Just curious if that would have an effect or not. Looks good otherwise!
