Big hugs all around and seconds later the strong wind comes out of knowwhere.
minutes later, whitecaps All around and we packed up and headed back to the launch.
Beautifully successful trip cut short. We had Lines In the water not even 1 hour haha

Love the video. But plz put a life jacket on that princess ❤️ Only takes 1-2 sec of her curiosity and she's over board. Better safe than sorry. Had my son flip over board. He had life jacket. I was changing out a jig never turn my back to him. But he had glanced over the side of the boat and he was in the water. Would post cilp here in comment but don't know how. Go the whole thing on go pro 😅

Thanks. Can’t believe how well my Daughter does in the boat. Family Days are the best days. Next Episode on Chelan we did not get on the water earlier than 10:00 am. Not even close to limits for 3 days but we all had a blast.

Congrats! That is certainly a nice fish. I have had success along the shore just to the north, all along the rock cliffs to Pine Tree. I see the water temp hasn't changed a bit since mid February. FYI, plain corn was the hot ticket then.

Beautiful kokanee. However, you likely didn't know that it is illegal to fly a drone over Lake Roosevelt. If the FAA or National Park Service (which manages Roosevelt as a national recreation area) see this video, you could face stiff fines.

The water was really low last year, at one point we couldn't launch from that ramp and had to go to Keller Ferry instead. It was the first year of being available to fish for kokanee and we had a rough go, not a single one caught plenty of trout though. If I can get some advice, when trolling do you a certain aspects; terrain, depth, features during that time of the year? I know the fish will be up top so you won't find many if any on the sonar. Last year, I stayed pretty close to the shores trolling; should I have stayed out in the channel further out with the deep water trolling on top?

You did just fine getting the trout. The Kokanee will come if you we’re getting trout. That means you were on the right track. 2 things I will add that could help. Try slowing down a hair just to try and corn with only 1 table spoon accent flavor enhancer (msg) and a good amount of krill lunker lotion. Not the oil, use the tall round bottle that’s like jelly.

Great video. I do have to say however. Starting to get real tired the planer board guys running right down a channel. Having a board on each side and acting like they are the only people fishing. Looking down at their eletronics like they dont see you. It has gotten so bad in E Washington I quit using them. Most of guys running 75 wide have no clue what they are doing. So when the see you catch a fish. They are right on top of you. Let's try and do better out there!
