Thanks for watching! What are some mods you always play with?

I love the proximity inventory mode. Makes it much easier to loot or to find items you've stashed later.

Oh yes its a good one, thanks for watching!

Yeah. That one removes so much tedious clicking/rolling, I would never play without it.

I actually just "discovered" this one the other day after almost 900 hours and I don't know how I ever went without it.

I personally find "Moodle Quarters" to be superior to "Plain Moodles." They essentially do the same thing, but the way they accomplish it differs; Quarters is just the clear choice in my opinion.

UI mods are the only mods I use so far as a new player (1 week). My faves are: - The Combat Text mod you showed - Simple Status - Clear description for moodles - Show xp skill gain I really like those and think they should be added optional in Vanilla! It does not alter the game but just gives a new player way more info/data rather than guessing/wondering about stats/xp gains etc
@VileStorms10 ай бұрын
Absolutely they are good, once you have more experience in the game you can sim for spicing it up some. Thanks for watching!

I play with 3 mods, -random/more spawns (pillows spawn or something) -map drawing mod -kmp hour dashboard mod I dont like many more mods I like to keep it simple. I played once with the gas pump side mod but I kinda like how its funny to struggle with cars to figure out what side. idk I find it funny and I try to remember it... I also like to keep it very simple to the base game. Also who puts their lighter/matches in bag/fanny pack its 0.1 space just keep it all in your inventory its no big deal haha, I rather use that 0.1 space for something else in my fanny pack like extra pair gloves or 2 bandages or something

Yeah pillows spawn mod is excellent to see more of the map!

what mod/setting are you using to display your stats in the bottom right?

Seems like a good setup. Some of them I use myself and I think I'll look up one or two of these. There is just one that I would not use. Plain Moodles. Not because it's bad in any way, but I think Moodle Quarters simply looks better. It keeps the feel of the original ones while still clearly showing the state of the moodle. EDIT: Not sure about the combat text one.. If it just showed the damage you did it would be nice, that's sort of showing how tired you are. But showing the health left on zeds seems a bit gamey, can you see how well a zombie is feeling?
@Botar4810 ай бұрын
I mean kinda? You couldn't tell exact hp yeah but you could probably see difference between a fresh zombie lurging at you, one that is bleeding out of blows you delivered to its head and one that is barely holding out as it's smashed skull is about to fall off with pieces of his brain visable.
@Botar4810 ай бұрын
In fact if you think about it seeing their hp is more realistic than seeing your damage numbers. Since realistically you could only see the zombie and deduce how damaged they are and just kinda guess how much damage you dealt by comparing their first condition to how they looked after you hit them.

Great thing about mods is theres pretty much one or a version for everyone
@CMDRFandragon9 ай бұрын
Goddamnit, what setting do you use on that Combat Text mod to display just the single damage number? When I use that mod, every time i hit a zombo, it shows 2 damage numbers. It will show 56 above the health bar, then a -56 that floats away. Then I hit again 121 and -121 that floats away. What settings makes that first number go away? I just want the floating number.....
@VileStorms9 ай бұрын
Odd, i just have default settings haha. I didnt change anything, maybe you have a different combat text mod?

I play on 77 inch tv but i find the ui to be way to tiny the letters aswell
@leonauswien2 ай бұрын
Same, I would LOVE to have a mod that increases the UI scale. Some settings exist, but the "progress bar" for example is 4px wide, on a 4K monitor that is less than 1mm.
@ANIManiak8910 ай бұрын
But crayons can be used instead of 4 pens in vanilla...
@VileStorms10 ай бұрын
Yes you are right, i forgot about that and wrote some of the description of the mod into the script. Probably an older description

I left links in the description for the workshop mods, all the mods can be found on the steam workshop. If you want to enable them there is a mods place on the title screen where you can just enable the mods you want that you are subscribed to on the workshop. Thanks for the comment :)

IMO the Combat Text mod makes it too much like an MMO. It takes away the danger element of the Z's. I don't think this mod belongs in this game.
