If you are struggling with anxiety, uncertainty, grief or fear, you need to watch this video.
This is one of the most emotional interviews I’ve ever done.
I did not expect the interview to go this way.
In this interview, I’m talking with ‪@lisabilyeu8103‬ (you might know her from her podcast ‪@LisaBilyeu‬ or any of her other incredible endeavors).
We are talking about her new, amazing book, Radical Confidence.
Radical confidence is EXACTLY what I need right now. And in this video, Lisa talks me through it and coaches ME on how I can pull through my anxiety and rediscover my confidence.
This conversation with Lisa literally changed my life. I’m not kidding.
So PLEASE watch this entire video if you are struggling with anxiety, uncertainty, grief or fear. And then go pick up a copy of this book. I needed it. You need it.
You can find it on Amazon here:

I just started reading Lisa’s book. I am lost at 47y and I hope that this book will give me some guidance on what’s next . I am tired of being stuck in the constant struggle , being broke figuratively and literally. I love LIFE , I appreciate everything, but I know that there is more out there for me .

I really needed this and am crying. I'm literally closing on selling my house today. I have gone through some major life changes and am grieving a life that I used to have, grieving the person I was, grieving what could have been, facing the shame of not handling things the way I think I should have, worrying about what others think and on and on. Fear, fear, fear!! Panic attacks have suddenly become a daily reality, and I am constantly in a state of fight or flight. I so needed this! Thank you!

Thank you, Mel, for sharing this interview with us! I am a foreigner who moved from Ukraine with two little children 22 years ago. I was moving to the absolutely unknown, strange society not to mention without knowledge of English language, culture, traditions of this country. I felt like a huge boulder was on my chest not letting me breathe. It was absolutely unbearable feeling, I had to be strong because of my children. I had to get my shit together and move on. I am very grateful to you for all your videos, for being soooo natural, organic, high energy, cool!,,

I don't get this 'why' thing, does she mean to ask why we feel fear, anxiety or whatever? ~ not sure how to achieve this 'why' they talk about or what is it? thanks
@lauri-jokotzen6690
@lauri-jokotzen6690 2 жыл бұрын
@@CR-pf1es your why can mean anything from why you get up in the morning and brush your teeth to why you work. I.e. I work and am motivated to learn more about the real estate biz. because I like the idea that people trust me enough to find them a place to live which is so essential to their everyday lives. And my why is also to make money so that I can do extra things with my family like take them for dinners, invite them to travel with me and buy them gifts. It could be whatever makes you tick and then ask yourself “why”. That will be your why.

Did the same ! Left a house we raised a family in fir 30 years. It felt like the right thing until we signed the papers and I felt like the world tilted on it’s axis . Then the pandemic hits, then my husband lost his job. I’d never felt so unsteady. I’ve recovered now. But I have empathy for you. I’m still have waves of anxiety but am able to move through it with a lot of help from you and other coaches.

My ego has been talking sh*t like yours but now I can see that she is just looking out for me. I now am focusing on my WHY which makes me so excited to move forward!! I am listening to my ego and making a plan for the WHAT IFS so I'm prepared if things don't work out the way I hope. Thank you so much for being real, raw and vulnerable! Thank you for sharing!

OMG- this has helped me SO MUCH!!! I've been sitting on a decision for TWO YEARS!!! ugh....holding on to career stuff that I'm feeling the need to let go of to move forward in another direction, but have resisted (and wondered why? WTF?!?!). I feel a lightness, and (holy cow...is that the radical confidence kicking in?). That freedom to mourn what you're letting go of? It's like Marie Kondo's decluttering process...'to honor and thank with gratitude the stuff you're letting go of, because it has served it's purpose in one form or another'. This conversation helped me see this in a deeper way that hit the latch to spring my brain free!!! Thanks so much!!

This was mind blowing. I cried. I’m also from a small town in Western Michigan, you may know it, Mel, Three Rivers just south of Kalamazoo. I left and have lived in NYC for over 10 years but leaping at any chance to go visit home and I always feel torn between the person and life I thought I would have (and what others thought I would) vs having a “smaller” life and probably being a lot happier. Ugh. I hope I find a remote position so that I can live part time in NY and part time home. Otherwise I have to make the final decision soon. But my god, either decision carries so much grief.

I've been watching this video every day since it's release and it does indeed help. I also started to read Lisas book and I really enjoy it. It is very entertaining and helpfull since I came down with burnout. It's like someone out of nowhere pulls the rug out from under yourself and you end up flat on your face. One day you go to work just fine, maybe not enjoying it but you go, because this is what you do and you tell yourself 'maybe the day won't be so bad after all'. The next day my whole body and mind broke down when I tried to leave the door. I couldn't stand on my feet and I couldn't breath. It's like someone opened the flood gates of everything I had supressed since last October or maybe even longer. By now I'm glad if I know my name and that's it. My mind went completely empty. I once knew who I was and what I'm capable of but no more. This video and Lisas book actually do help me to get back on my feet and just do. Like just do. No hesitation. Just do. No overthinking or doom thinking. Just do and just do you. The internal believes I was ingrained for so long no longer serve me and I have to re-think.

Thank You for this! Have so many life changing events going on in the last several years that have been out of my control and the grief that has gone along with all of this. With this grief and change I did not choose, has come choices I have had to make to continue to move forward. Listening to many of your videos and reading your books have given me tools to be able to overcome the fear, grief and immobilization I was feeling at this time in my life. I am taking steps to move forward even if they are tiny baby steps. I am at least going forward through all this emotional change, mental change and physical change. Grief is something you can not run from. It does catch up with you! You do have to work through it and it is different for everyone. This podcast made me realize I have found tools to move me forward through all the different types of grief in my life and to embrace there is a better life for me in the future even with the fear of moving through all the obstacles in my way!

I sucked my teeth put in my earbuds, sat on my garden swing and my soul opened up! I get it! My ego is trying to save me not send me to a mental institution! Today, I am making friends with my ego I believe she is also my intuitive voice. I'm listening and I'm at the 20 min mark. Your talking about separating the grief and fear. It would be a disservice to your memories not to mourn and grieve the end of that chapter of your life. It deserves those tears and that heart ache as much as you would grieve the passing of a friend. The fear, well that's just the void where the home once stood. The unknown, and that is scary and feels out of contrôle. Maslove would say you've lost your security. My fear voice, is not a bitch. It's the two old guys in the balcony from the Muppets heckling me day in and day out. I'm trying to embrace their crotchety constructive criticism for what it is; my ego protecting me after years of emotional neglect and abuse. Thing is, I can take care of myself now, they can just sit back and enjoy the show. So when they get a little loud, I tell them to turn it down and sit the fuck down. It's an ongoing process; but I think that's called life. You've got this. Now I'm going back to watching the video. Bye.

Mel!!! This is as so impactful for me! I realized I really am not clear on my “WHY” and that is BANANAS to me!!! I thought I knew, and I am sooo unclear! So, I’m in Launch, this was part of my “me time, and now I am off to some more “me time” quiet space to get CLEAR! Thank you! 💋💋💋💋
