I love names from ancient civilizations, & I'd love to see more videos like this! They're so interesting in the way that some names (especially from ancient Greek, Roman, & Hebrew for English speakers) sound so odd for us to use (i.e. Plutarch, Antigone, Octavian, etc.), yet others have survived trends and popularity for centuries upon centuries (Alexander, Lydia, Jason, etc.).

I remember something like this in the movie "Roots." A baby was born, and an older sibling asked, "What is his name?" And the mother answered, "We call him 'Baby Boy.' We will not name him until he is 8 days old." Then, the father took the baby out to a private place, in the dark late at night - - he held the baby up over his head, showing the baby to God in thanks, and announced the baby's name, kind of like an ancient form of baptism. This also reminds me of the movie "Logan's Run." A woman was named Jessica 6 - - her mother was Jessica 5. Logan was named Logan 7, and he had a baby (at the very beginning of the movie) who was named Logan 8. They didn't use the numbers in ordinary conversation when they spoke to each other - - they only used the numbers when they introduced themselves to new people.
