I can think of a hundred actors with gorgeous eyes. But none of them have his sparkling look. Something in his eyes is like fireworks! It shows especially in romantic movies. It’s like he pierces the soul when he looks at the woman he loves. Many movie stars were extremely handsome. But he beats them all with his charisma, and deep deep look

Damn shame they hadn't remade "The Sheik", made famous by Rudolph Valentino. A remake with the BEAUTIFUL Omar, would have blown Valentino out of the water. Never understood why they didn't remake it, it could have been fantastic! I would have cast Peter O'Toole & Chuck Heston along with him. That would have been magnificent! 🥰
@johnorange197011 ай бұрын
The reason was probably political. Prior to the 60s, which is when The Sheik was made, Arabs were portrayed as an exotic people. When political tensions over oil began and the Arab-Israeli conflict grew, there was a shift in attitudes towards the Arab World. David Lean knew that well which is why he told Omar to stay away from playing Arab roles. There's a reason that after Lawrence of Arabia at the height of his fame, he never played Arab roles. The big wigs in Hollywood made use of his good looks, charisma and refined mannerisms to play every ethnicity possible other than Arab. Why? They had no interest in having Omar with his good looks and charisma play an Arab character that women would swoon over. It would go against what they wanted the Arab to be portrayed as in the media, which is a savage.

I couldn't tell. Did they show or mention The Horsemen? Sharif with Jack Palance and Leigh Taylor-Young. Set in Afghanistan. Not the kind of movie that would be noticed next to the big studio epics that he was in, but entirely suited to him.

We live in a world of ...so called conflict of religions and civilizations, those who care to put out further military arsenal care to feed this senseless hatred when .. we are a nice global family that should learn tollerance and get along with the others. The life of this actor is showing us, no matter where you live, how British could be your education, having the world to your feet thanks Hollywood fame, you could never give up your birth place and childhood memories, that's the real home you could never abbandon, no matter good or bad, kind with you or less gentle, being multi national is a huge asset and modern life raise us all a bit of every culture or naturalization, therefore guys, let them the big industry of entertainment prevail and forget war affairs. We can use the profits to save African lands from extreme draught and thirst, from climate change disasters, something that Omar or any other Muslim celebrity ever wanted. He was so confident that his Hollywood fame could do everything for him.. well, seems it's not enough, let's carry on his ambition and raise Egypt and other African countries safe from any weather hickups gone insane from now on, let's do something about it guys 🎉❤🎉

Omar Sharif is the best example of happy immigration, nobody must abbandon his birth place if not as a successful individual that can turn back his home whenever he wants, let's face it. Immigrants are a golden asset, as long as they have a chance to be educated, skilled and ...accepted. If we let poor African refugees in vicious criminal trafficants hands, we are all screwed, we all pay the price of being. .. stupid losers, mostly when blind political interests are taking advantage on the situation. In Africa there are the best business opportunities starting with cinema productions, sports partnerships or infrastructures. I think, if we dream so high and beautiful, how to bring further water pipelines to the inner lands and dismantle the Sahara desert, on cinema screens it might worth several milion dollars incomes, can you imagine it? Cinema productions made us dream so far and beautiful always, cinema gives us wings to fly and most of the times, is more successful than any political strategy...think about it friends 🎉❤🎉

Amun Ra himself touched the guy with his hands ☀ you people didn't see the Egyptian works which are equal valuable pieces of Art. ''Struggle on the Nile'' is an example of that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3OYpWaQrN-Yb68 or the very cool film ''A Rumor of Love'' kzbin.info/www/bejne/gnrQdHuFgalllc0 We as Egyptians are adopting his views of peace and openness and so it should be. And indeed he is a great Son and Star of Egypt and the World.

Very good reason to enjoy again Dr. Zhivago, not for a Russian romance in the ice cold Siberia but how Stalin screwded the Communist Revolution and eliminated all those who dared to have a different opinion. Communism had to be "Power to the people" Stalin never respected. Still today we have to deal with the same struggle, fighting for a bit of social justice, for a bit of...welfare for everybody and not chosen few powerful oligarchs, powerful lobbies and selfish companies. Still today, powerful tycoons are capable to commit murder in order to defend their shameful interests and political corruption such as.. arsenal manufacturing and guns companies. Who cares to copy magnificent Omar Sharif? As ...partizan activist observer and ...brave journalist to tell us another Doctor Zhivago story? Get in action friends. Peter O'Toole...corrupted Sharif to become a casino gambler.. nowaddays wealthy tycoons have fun gambling in Bitcoin, well, what about making investments in movie productions? Such documentaries remind us, how many movies and stories we know by heart, we used to memorize them along the years. ..and there's plenty of room in our hearts databases for more🎉❤🎉
