Great tour! I've kind of avoided MSC for years, but I have to say, Ocean Cay is one of the reasons I just booked my first MSC cruise. I love that it's more of a Gilligan's Island instead of an amusement park/shopping center that the other cruise lines have turned their islands into. Thanks for the great info!

Great walkthrough! I was on the Divina 4/10 - 4/14/2023, the weather was really bad and we lost one of two days at OC, but I made the best of one day! Spent the day at Paradise Cove, outstanding!! There really is a lot of walking!

There is not and depending on the size ship you go with, maybe not any drinks. (Maybe reasons why it was quite?). Closest food will be walking back to the main food hall and food trucks. I would say it is still worth it.

do the cabanas have a bar close by?

Depends on the cabana. They have them in a few different locations but as far as I can remember, they are all fairly close to a bar.

nice tour. Otherwise than the lighthouse area it all looks the same pretty much. just beach and more beach. It was originally a place where they mined sand, hence why theres so much of it

I might have missed what you said but lighthouse looked like a metal substitute for an actual old building. It looks modern and has a million leds behind holepunced sheet metal.

I haven't read all the comments but the Yacht Club Ocean House does in fact have its own proper dedicated bathroom right on the outdoor deck area. No need to visit those port-a-potti looking ones.

For me, probably Ocean Cay at this point. Nothing wrong with CocoCay but I enjoy the calmer atmosphere to Ocean Cay a lot these days.

Not on Ocean Cay with MSC. They are building "hide-a-way Bay" on Royal Caribbean's private island CocoCay that is supposed to be adults only. Virgin's Bimini resort is also adults only be default as it is 18+.

That's a strange question to ask Mohammed... Reporting with any kind of criminal activity on a cruise ship is traditionally very limited. However, this is a Bahamas island and imagine they would keep records. Not sure if their database is accessible online?

@@TheWeekendCruiser Good points of caution. I think that the thought could arise in some viewers' mind because you showed how sparsely occupied many of the spaces and venues were. And then there are more remote spots which, as you said, could feel like having a whole beach to yourself.....alone can be great, until you suddenly realise that you are not alone....

Mohammed it is a private island and MSC knows who is there whether they are passengers or crew, but you never know what some people are capable of doing especially if alcohol or drugs are involved.
