I mean if you can just grab "the world's most venomous animal" with your hands, get stung and just endure the pain, I don't think it's the world's most venomous animal. I wonder what criteria they could have used to arrive at this obviously false title. There are snakes and scorpions whose venom often does kill healthy adult humans, and nobody in their right minds would let those bite/sting them.
@6dm9785 жыл бұрын
Sérgio Alves Leaving whether the box jelly is truly the deadliest aside, you should note that the box jelly uses various different toxins. The dude in the video was only hit by a small toxin inflicting pain through the nervous system in the local area of the sting. If he had not taken his hand away and was actually stung by the many needles the jellyfish has, then the deadly toxins would have kicked in; those being toxins that are injected into the circulatory system.

My sis used to live in Australia. Before my first visit I had read about the country and of course its deadly wildlife. The first day I was there I asked if she ever saw funnel web spiders, she laughed and said oh they are everywhere and took me over to some shrubs in her backyard and showed me one. A day or two later we were at bondi beach and I asked if there was any danger of box jellyfish, she laughed and said oh they are everywhere. Ppl in Australia are psychotic.

Most venomous spider in the world - Sydney funnel-web spider, found in Australia Most venomous snake in the world - Inland taipan, found in Australia Most venomous fish in the world - Stone fish, found in Australia Most venomous octupus in the world - Blue-ringed octopus, found in Australia Most venomous animal in the world - Box jellyfish, found in Australia That's not even including other deadly animals like the great white sharks and salt water crocodiles. Honestly, is there a single non-mammal in Australia that doesn't want to murder you in seconds?
@peepeepoopoonibba2844 жыл бұрын
Jay quick fact great white sharks only attack 16 people *A YEAR* on average so while the salt water croc is dangerous the great white shark is one of the most safest animal in the world and the kills are because the People probably provoked the shark in some way so great white sharks are not deadly animals they just protect themselves from people that kill 1,000,000 sharks a year

I’ve been stung three times, twice in the one day I can say it hurts like hell but I’m still alive. Also for whatever reason the sting isn’t as prominent on the hands and feet, as you can see when the dude is chopping the tentacles off they wrap all around his hand and it doesn’t really bother him.

TO ALL YOU PEOPLE OUT THERE - Got stung by these bad boys twice when I was 8 & 14 years old. still alive hahaha These creatures are almost invisible and impossible to detect unless you're looking from above the water. The trick is when you accidentally hit their tentacles and get stung is to NOT MOVE AND IMMEDIATELY CLOSE YOUR EYES let the jelly fish pass by. Because the more you move, the more you'll be spreading the tentacles hitting more skin area. Even worse if you're eyes are open you can possibly get blind if a tentacles hits you in the eye. You basically swim carefully to the other direction or if you don't know where the jelly fish you just wait till the jelly wish swims away, they automatically do that when a bigger animal hits them. Another important factor when you finally get out of the water you don't rub your skin because of the itch & pain, because that would only spread it even more. Instead, you immediately try to remove the tentacles sticking on your skin because as soon as the sea water falls off your skin the tentacles is absorbed on your skin and this causes a lot of damage that takes weeks to heal once it pierces your skin. You need to be quick about this because it only takes a few seconds to happen. (THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT PART) If you want to kill it, you just need to grab the head(avoid the tentacles) and lay it on the ground under the sun and it just melts away. Be careful where you place the tentacles, because even if they dried out already they can still reactivate once hit by sea water. Also peeing on it is pretty much useless to be honest. You just need to remove the tentacles ASAP once you're out of the water. FYI - Grew up living near the seat, (Our house is actually located by the sea) and we literally have these types of jellyfish in our own backyard.
