For me, my very first Mario game that got me in tomorrow for Life was the original Arcade Mario Bros, after that was Super Mario 64 and then New Super Mario Bros DS. Those three Mario games got me into Mario for Life!

I've first heard of the Mario series from my older cousins owning an N64 and Gamecube, with the occasional gameplay of Mario Kart 64, Dr Mario 64, and Luigi's Mansion plus the first two Smash Bros games. But it wasn't until owning my original DS and receiving my copy of Super Mario 64 DS that made the series a favorite of mine. Now I see Mario, Sonic, Pac-Man, and Master Chief on my personal video game mascot Mount Rushmore.

New Super Mario Bros. 2 was the first video game I’ve ever played. It got me into the Mario series and video games as a whole.
