“We don't live in a moralistic age where we need to prove people to be sinners. We live in an anxious age, where we need to prove to people they're worth something.” - Sam Allberry
Brett McCracken, Sam Allberry, and Trevin Wax discuss how Christians should gracefully and biblically engage our current sexual culture, specifically with the rapid progression of LGBTQ and transgender identity.
Alberry encourages Christians not to shy away from what the Bible says about sexuality, while also not having a godless and aggressive reaction to those with a differing worldview. McCracken reminds us of the call to self-denial and how living as a disciple of Jesus requires us to follow the heart of God, not our own heart. Wax challenges us to believe in the power of the gospel, God’s truth about the human body, and God’s goodness. With a grace-filled and gospel-centered approach to discussing sexuality in a post-Christian culture, those who struggle with their sexuality will see the way of repentance and can find their true identity in Jesus.

I don’t think we need to wait for people to come to us, we should GO to them. And speak out the Gospel.

What about the unmet sexuality of single people - it’s important for married people. Why not singles. Are they not equally important??!

Thank u for this talk. Yes equal opportunity self-denial. And yes, go with bible/gospel. Moralism/natural law arguments automatically become attractive once the beauty of Christ settles in "We [Christians] became ashamed of the gospel... The gay rights movement won the culture war because they made *cosmological* arguments." (something to this effect) - Dr. Rosaria Butterfield Let's not be ashamed of it (: God gave it to us for a reason. 🔥

Not following you. It’s not being hateful or a bully to disagree with someone’s world view. Maybe you are talking about preachers that are hateful about it? Those are on the fringe. I have a step son who is trans and it breaks my heart. He is tormented inside and not because he is persecuted by society. He has an identity crisis. I get it. I did at one point in my life too, but I found peace in finding my identity in my creator. I have a unique experience with God. I was into the occult and Jesus pulled me out. I was as miserable as my step son but it wasn’t healthy and peace comes with reconciliation with the one who made me in His image.

Yet you have always failed to prove it and on probing showed you're not a Christian because you reject the Gospel.

@@Charles.Wright well first of all you reveal the contents of your own heart. The things you speak with your mouth you commit your heart. if you were interested in consensual relationships between adults that's what you would have been talking about. Secondly anyone can be a Christian if they trust God and not the serpent.

@@Charles.Wright Dan has shown he's not a Chrsitian by rejecting the Gospel, the Bible as holy scripture and even rejected Jesus as the Christ.
