Glad u mentioned the part about quality. Did enough research to not want one anymore. Ur approach of waiting is probably the best. Right now they super-promo-ing on youtube. Altis is owned by Voro Motors. Voro motors, basically just selling rebranded parts... 3 years ago they were selling the Voro cruiser at a $500 markup from the minimotors speedway 4. ... All you gotta do is look at the ppl at Voro, and then watch how they got what looks like an actor to go over their new factory that they built in China. I dunno wut to say other than, for something this srs, i wouldn't mess w/ it and it seems too good to be true.

but as far as Chinese companies go, the US stifles DJI's progress, DJI is a hit, their drones, cameras, microphones, battery packs.... Gosh.... beautiful consumer grade stuff and support. Wishing a US based company could do something about that one personally.... I get it tho, US Govn't contracts want us made things. N dem CHEYE NEEZ spyware drones cant be used by our LEOs. LMAO. that was a great read. Yes the smart people will wait and see what the quality looks like and go from there. I didn't do research like you, so thank you for that. The SurRon has always surprised me of how good the quality actually is for a CH e-moto. But with all that said, if the motor/controller/battery is what they say. It's almost worth it right there 🤷‍♂️

@@clu801 i just wanted to get down to the bottom of it. China's been really pumping out a buncha e-vehicle stuff, I know they got a surplus of that stuff out there. Hopefully they leak their manufacturers are you can see how much they are really charging. All the youtube videos make it seem amazing. Keeping my eye on it.

It Took Me til this Very Moment to Understand “WHY”. I Was Looking at This as a Long Term *Business_Decision, and Not a Form of Transportation. Their New Hairpin Motor will Need at Least *50% of The Trial and Error that TESLA had, (5Years) because it Took TESLA 10 Years. To be Clear… I’m Not saying TESLA had the Hairpin Motor for 10 Years; I’m using TESLA as a rough Apples to Apples Comparison.

"Next-Gen" is How I'd Classify The Altis; it's the 1st out the Gate for The Next Gen Class. Spring 2025 Should be Crazy; although I'm Wondering if E-Ride is Brave Enough to Lock Horns with a Company that Waited Long Enough to Make These (2) Sigma Models as Their 1st Products.

Think the Atlas will be better than the Ultra Bee on the single track mountain trails?

I think it would depend on the trail. If it is very rocky the Ultra Bee might be better (18/21 wheels and better suspension). But if you can get 18/21 on this Altis then it would be a really hard choice.

@@bikelife_alex__-6635 for sure it destroys it in power, but we are talking about trail riding where you don’t need all that power and suspension matters more. Like I said, it would be a tough choice because that Altis is sick.

Do you prefer better torque or better top end?

I like a good mix, but if I had to choose it would be torque. I run a 58t on my 18" rear and use about 500 phase amps. But I do change the phase depending on the riding.

I bought/pre ordered the MX version in black as soon as they went live. Sold my E ride pro SS yesterday on facebook marketplace for $4300. The one thing im wondering though is the headroom in the motor and controller. I wonder if it comes maxed out or if theres room to up the phase amps or kilowatts. I spoke with Rev Rides and they said its slighly dumbed down out the box. So idk. Either way im super excited. I also think the 185lb is actually a perfect sweet spot. Not too heavy not too light. But good enough weight to help dig into the dirt with the rear.

Nice man! Yeah, I go back and forth on the weight. Pros and Cons for sure but I think this bike will be amazing. I can't imagine they wouldn't let you tune the phase amps, but you never know. I am stoked for you. You will have to drop back in and let me know what you think when you get it!

@@singletrackslim not really. They are quite comparable in size if you’ve watched other’s videos about it. Others have said its the same size as a surron light bee X just a lil heavier. A surron ultra bee would be more in the dirt bike category and the Sigma is no where near as big as an ultra bee. As far as wheels and tires go yeah you’re right the MX is way different than my E ride lol. I just sold my e ride anyway

@@xKINGxRCCx Yeah size seems to be the same, people think otherwise because of the design of the seat is more of a motorcross style rather than LBX that seems more "road bike" with the battery slot seeming like a fuel tank
