14:24 I think early on that’s how all babies in the South Park universe were supposed to look like but at some point (season 2 I think) they decided the whole Canadians have flappy heads thing, so Ike being adopted was a retroactive decision. You can also see this with Terrance and Phillip as they’re just referred to as a cartoon in season 1.

I think it was not only babies, but also cartoons within a cartoon. Terrance and Philip appeared in Season 1, but it wasn't until Season 2 when they were retconned into being relatively real people (that is to say, in the same layer of fiction as the rest of South Park).

While the episode is still a classic to me, I am a little disappointed with how they portrayed sally (who was a fan up until this) stealing food from the very people that she was trying to help in real life. Apparently she broke down at how she was portrayed. Probably more on the stealing from starving Africans bit. Matt and Trey would go on to say that they did feel a remorseful when they heard about her reaction and personally have nothing against her they only made it that way because they found her being overweight while standing next to skinny Africans ironic.

Classic episode! The Vas-Defrans is the tube that carries sperm from the testes to the penis when you ejaculate. It's hilariously specific when you call someone it. The over-sized woman in the episode was meant to be Sally Struthers. Famous for her role in "All in the Family" tv show as the daughter of Archie and Edith Bunker: "Gloria". She was a big part of the Save the Children Foundation for 30 years but when some comics started to make fun of the irony of her weight in juxtaposition with all of the starving people in her commercials, she took too strong of an offense and quit the foundation. Needless to say it was a little fishy that someone who dedicated 30 years of their life to a cause would suddenly end it over a joke. Many speculated that the joke of her "eating all of their food" (and accusations of embezzling the donations) was probably more true than not and the idea lived on through the 90s. To this day she claims that what really changed her mind was an event involving some guerilla soldiers in Africa, giving her new perspective on her life, but she never told that story the same way twice and no one has ever corroborated it even though there were supposedly several witnesses according to her.
