Nice video. Also the first time I've seen a carpet cleaner with a shot motor like that..... Typically I've only ever seen vacuums with shot motors like this...specifically older Bissell Cleanviews and Powerforces that no one took care of and decided to suck up tons of drywall dust with or something....

Oh if you want a carpet cleaner that will last a very long time. look for the Bissell Big Green, Its got a 2 stage dual fan industrial grade motor, and is built like a tank. I have seen some people who have had them for 7 plus years.

Oh the thought has crossed my mind but I do not have any carpeting anymore. All engineered wood floors. I did get an area rug but it has not gotten here yet. I did replace this machine with the pet pro model which I really like because you can remove the brush roll cover to clean it.

yea. we rent the place and the landlord started with just that room then decided to get the entire house done. the people who lived here before us (which included the person who lived in this room who stayed after they moved out) were pretty gross and the carpets were almost black when we first moved in. All the use this got getting those clean initially I think is what did it in. It is about 3 years old so it was time.

I could definitely imagine the smell 🤮 I did someone’s house that let their cat use the closet as the bathroom . Man the smell of urine was so over powering I was gonna stop the job . Just a suggestion next time pretreat it with an pet treatment let it dwell for like 30 mins agitate it with a scrubber and then extract it with hot water only works miracles

Was this a noise you were renting out or a home you bought? I feel so bad for you. I bought a foreclosure home from a cat boarder and it was like that. Unfortunatly I found out soon after that I'm immunocompromised... You know, after I cut up and removed the carpet and got pneumonia lol but even aftwr scrubbing the sub flooring with bleach and setting off a special bomb in the house my uncle got me who works for an apartment complex that is supposed to remove all the smells in the house and you have to vacate the house for 48 hours after releasing the smell came back. I ended up having to rip up my brand new carpet again. Luckely it didn't soak up the smell and could be put back down but I ended up having to replace all of the sub flooring in one of the rooms. She didn't only hoard cats but when the foreclosure agency took over the house they had to go into the house through a window to clear out the house because she left so much junk behind they couldnt open the door. Apparently she must have climbed out of the window when she left too. Who ever lived in this house has absolutly no business owning a pet. You can tell just by looking at the carpet the pets were neglected and having them stay in a house that is literally breeding bacteria puts their health at risk and likely crosses over into abuses. I'm so sorry you have to deal with that. You may be able to call a professional to clean it but honestly it looks line you will have to replace the carpet and likely the sub flooring as well. I know the smell of dog urine is easier to get rid of than cat urine but if I had to guess I would say based on how soiled the carpet is, that the sub flooring is starting to rot out. If you have kids or plan to lay on the floor it may be a good idea to replace the sub flooring at least in the most soiled areas anyhow

This was a former roommate after he moved out thank God. The landlord came and inspected and had the carpet torn out and replaced with hard floor. I just wanted to get rid of the smell for the time being, and made a good video out of it! Thanks for watching.

So, I'm trying to decide on a good shampooer to buy. I had two that I was thinking about, and this one is the one that I'm leaning towards. I have a brand-new Kirby vacuum and shampooer. Keep in mind, I use to sell Kirby vacuums for almost 3 years and believe in them 100%. Til it comes time to shampoo pet urine and kid stains. Sure, it will make the carpets smell better, but it doesn't really last. The dealers like to do little tricks to make you think the cleaning will last. Not true! The Kirby could never make this carpet look that good. If you think it will, you are crazy! Thank you for posting this.

This model IMO is the best non commercial shampoo machine you can get. The dual brushes really scrub the fibers.

You have to pretreat those stains for with a brush and lemon, vinegar solution with alittle soap...scrub let sit a day, then shampoo carpet it will be like new!

Did you use hot water or cold water? I read that hot water can actually set in the urine smell. I ask because I just received one of these today, tried it in my living room and it now smells so much worse :( Horrible intense smell of urine. Any advice would be appreciated.

You need to pre treat. An enzyme based cleaner like the ones made for pet urine will kill the proteins and bacteria causing the smell.

go over the carpet another time with the enzyme treatment. you’re extracting the urine up and out of the carpet so you may need to do a few passes to get it completely out instead of just bringing it to the surface.

I just used my 2x Pet Pro to get up decade old cat pee hidden by a shady cat i used to have. It took hours and lots of enzyme pre-treat, and using the 2x as an extractor with weight on the brushes until water ran clean, but it got it all. Helluva machine for $100.

I just ordered one of these and I’m excited to get it unfortunately I am one of those pet owners that has four dogs and sometimes they don’t make it to the bathroom outside and my rug doctor just isn’t cutting it anymore and so I’m hoping that this would do the complete job thanks for posting this video because I am surprised of how well it cleaned. Unfortunately with pet stains like that you’d have to replace the whole carpet and padding and Sanitize the floor in order to get all of that out. Eventually what I’m going to do is rip up all my carpet and just put flooring throughout the house so I don’t have to worry about that anymore but I’m hoping until that happens this machine will at least make it better
