The worst dental experience I've had is not realizing I was grinding my teeth in my sleep. It started after experiencing a traumatic event. By the time I had it figured out, I had lost all of my back teeth. Now I need to have them replaced.

I once had a tooth infection and attempted to remove the tooth myself, it required stitches to repair and my dentist was slightly upset over it. Also I was unsuccessful.

With HD, the "perfect teeth" are even more horrifying. I can't tell you how many times I have lost the plot of a movie because I couldn't get over the glaring white teeth. I love vintage movies, and watching Charlton Heston in HD is hilarious - keep expecting those dentures to pop right out lol.

As someone who hated the dentist my whole life. After having all my top teeth pulled out and not being able to wear dentures. I had to get an implant supported denture and now I regret not just listening to my parents and dentist growing up and just take care of my damn teeth.

I had to get a veneer replaced yesterday. One I’ve had for like 7 years that just chipped randomly. My dentist was able to get me in next day and in and out in half hour :)

At 5:07 The surgeon I went to when I had my wisdom teeth removed didn't even stitch shut the gums, so after 10+ years, I've been having to deal with food getting lodged deep in to my gums. My dentist said that the surgeon screwed up badly.

Yikes! I dont have anything like that, but i noticed after my own wisdom surgery that if i have anything too sour or too sweet get into the corners of scars on my bottom gums, it'll trigger the nerves and cause my entire jaw to seize up in pain for a moment. I wouldn't call it botched because nerves can be strange and unpredictable, but man is it inconvenient

The trick i use whenever i go to my orthodontist is that i just close my eyes and listen to his instructions such as smile, open your mouth etc. This helps me deal with anxiety,

I stare at the details on the ceiling. Was literally just at the hygienist, and yeah, its awkward trying not to watch them as their right in your face like that. Honestly cant even tell you my hygienists eye colour, i go that far out my way not to look at her

Man, Those x-ray brackets hurt me BAD! Well specifically when I was starting the process of getting my dentures. My teeth were so bad most of them were broken off just above the gumline, I looked like I had a bad meth addiction. It was soo painful when I had to hold the heavy bracket between my broken ass sensitive teeth, and they had to re-shoot one x-ray. That and the cord packing in gums to get an impression were the most painful parts of getting my dentures, and that includes getting my teeth pulled in 2 sessions, all but 8 on the bottom front. Having my dentures, I can actually eat what I want again, and not worry about if its too hard to break my teeth (breading on chicken and pizza crust were some of the things that were too hard). I can talk, smile, and laugh without worrying about covering my mouth, or people seeing my teeth and thinking I'm a meth addict. I actually cried a little the first time I saw my new smile. All of my problems came from not taking good care of my teeth, and having bad teeth in the family. TAKE CARE OF YOUR TEETH!

I'm still wearing my retainer for 8 months now. The removal of the braces is not painful, yes, but it is uncomfortable. The moment the braces pop out, you will feel something move in your teeth that feels uncomfortable. Also got 2 of my wisdom teeth removed. First one had a painful surgery but painless recovery, my tooth was pulled. Second had a slightly painful surgery and very painful recovery on day 2 and 3, meds only helped a little. The pain subsided on day 4. Second tooth was cut to pieces. ALSO got 2 crowns on my teeth. the shaving was uncomfortable but not painful. Only the injection gave me pain so I'm used to it now.

I feel like the colours of water flossers if they’re white, I feel like they will stain more easily so I think other colours might be better. By the way, I think the teal looks nice. But putting white as an option I think is a good idea because everyone has there own preferences.

I recently got dentures. I tried using those adhesives (first the paste, then the strips), but i cant handle how it sticks to the roof of my mouth. I have a hard time getting it off, snd it tastes nasty!! I also cant handle eating with them in. Chewing is fine, but im not able to swallow for some reason.

My dentist told me to never use mouthwash. He said only use mouthwash if you have something specifically wrong that mouthwash can be used to treat it with. Otherwise his best advice for mouthwash is to throw it down the sink.

The veneers one is kinda crazy! I have missing lateral incisors, so it's front teeth and then canines. A doctor recommended me to get veneers to "fix" my problem, but I refused. I'm not degrading healthy teeth just for the looks of it! He was even like "don't you wanna have normal teeth like everybody else?" 🤣🤣🤣 I straight up told him NO! If there was a less invasive way, I'd do it, but veneers is a no-no for me.

I wore braces and underwent several different methods to not only straighten my teeth but also deal with my "open bite" (I´m German and don´t know how it´s called in English) and even had a jaw-surgery to close it. At the end I could decide if I want to continue to wear braces or if I want to be done and get a retainer. You can guess what I chose and when my dentist asked me once if it would be possible to remove the retainer so that I would be able to easier clean my teeth in between the spaces I just said, the retainers are there for a reason.

When I was little I picked my gums where my molars are at until they bled. I also picked at the top left side on my gums so much but (gross warning) THE SKIN WAS STARTING TO BLEED AND IT ALMOST CAME OFF IN A HUGE CHUNK. I did not take good care of my teeth when I was littler😭😭
