I'm a vet tech and have worked at a few animal hospitals. The vet industry is in such a weird spot right now its gotten to the point where we have to almost rush through and get everything done as quick as possible, but in school I was taught that part of our job is to also teach. But because of how things are teaching new pet owners is like an afterthought cause we don't have the time do to it, which sucks caUSE WE ARE SO UNDERSTAFFED and burnt out its not even funny, so i apologize for your recent vet visit it seemed rushed and that you had to ask a bunch of questions cause they werent really helping. The fact it only took 7 minutes to look at her is also a bad sign as well, just rushed medicine :( . They should have given you puppy/kitten revolution which would have helped with the fleas and possibly help to prevent her from getting eatr mites too, i have seen kittens smaller than her have ear mites

Make sure you get her dewormed ASAP (if they didn't already do it at the first vet) because if she had fleas she definitely has worms too (fleas are carriers for the worm eggs), and she can guve worms to your other cats too :(

Tips from someone who has rescued kittens in the exact same way: 1. they will alwaysl have flees if they have been outside so if you have other pets make sure they are up to date on whatever usual flea treatment you regularly use. Flees will just jump back and forth. If you don't normally use a regular flea treatment then get them one. As for the kitten, you'll need to do flea baths at regular intervals for a while until she's flea free. 2. We found that kitten formula can be mixed up to be a bit "chunky" for the wee ones who are in that in-between milk and solid food stage. 3. For the future: have not only a regular vet but a back up vet or two you trust. We have two in our area we generally trust but would take our cats to Vet #1 as she specialized in cats, but in an emergency vet #2 was fine and much closer (we favor him for our dog).

Don't go back to that vet... i had the same case... I always feels like the vet i had in my town and myself failed my tuxedo cat. I know there's something wrong but my vet brush it off... since then we stopped going to that vet and brought all our cats to the next town vet... it is a drive but they listen. My tuxedo cross the rainbow bridge 2 months after that vet visit. I miss him but he is no longer suffering

if you notice her constantly sleeping with her head down like that, especially on the floor please take her to a vet. My kitten did the same thing last year and it turned out he had extremely low blood sugar and wouldve died if he didnt go the the vet when he did. If this is the case you just need to rub corn syrup on her gums and feed her chicken baby food ! I doubt it is though and her just being silly :)

Found a kitten once, too. I heard him 3 days in a row but he stopped miauing every time I wanted to get him. On the last day he was ready to accept my help and walked right towards me. But I was moving the next day for a job and couldn't assure my senior cat would accept him at the time. Drove 2 h just to get him to a friend. He is fine now and a big beautiful cat now. He still remembers my smell even though he was in my care for probably a half a day. The cat food I gave him must have been the best memorie ever... Anyways my senior cat (my red soulmate, but brain tumor was stronger) died 2 years after the kitten incident. 1 month after his death another red cat sat on his gravestone and fell in love with me. Searched everywhere and found an old neighbor who was like: "yeah, he is a stray. I feed him sometimes. Never got him to trust me, tho. He trusts you? Well, cats are different. They choose their owner by themselves and I guess you got a new cat now. Congratulations!" Yeah... 1.5 years later and I guess the former stray cat still loves me and had no reason to leave. He learned so much just by trusting me. Scary stairs/rooms, people and noises even some objects on the floor were problems for him. Such a brave boy. But he is still scared to do something wrong.

There was a kitten that started meowing out of the blue for an entire day, it was right in front of our house but in the middle of bushes and all that spiny stuff so we couldn't search properly, the night it stopped but the next day we could hear it again, fortunately late that day we saw the kitty with its mom so we thought it was all good. It's been maybe a week and the kitty is gone but the mother still passes from here.. I wonder..😔
