Moana has consistently been in Nielsens top five of most streamed movies of the year since Disney plus got started, this makes sense. Disney needs to get smart and get a sequel going too and not just that “way too soon” live action remake.

Jackie, when you said your nephew is the world’s biggest Star Wars fan I felt like I could totally relate. My son who is now 17 loved Star Wars on the three Disney cruises we’ve taken so far. There was an event called the Padawan challenge that was essentially a Star Wars trivia game and when we came to pick him up, they said that he had found all of Disney errors in the trivia and decorated our entire State room with Star Wars!! They let him know he was absolutely a super fan! They had a certificate for him for his achievement and a gigantic big Darth Vader waiting for him on the bed in a box. It truly was Disney magic. If he had not been allowed to go to the kids clubs to the age of 12, it would’ve totally changed our experience. When he started going to the tween and teen clubs it was the summer before his freshman year in high school and he was 14. He is now a junior. Although he had a good time, it was just simply nothing compared to the kids clubs when he was younger. I think Disney has a real opportunity to still expand their marvel and Star Wars as well as some other possibilities into those older clubs. Just because kids get older doesn’t mean that they don’t still want to have some of those same experiences. I know for us that we would rather wait until he now turns 18 so he can join us and some of the adults only restaurants since the teen clubs really aren’t a big draw for him.

Awww, see an my hope is that the crew members onboard will entertain the idea of making exceptions in some cases. Of course, we have no idea if they will or not, but for our family, Disney has always aimed to please and I can't help but think that they might not have that hard cutoff. I could be completely wrong, though, and they might hold to it regardless of anyones specific situation. I feel bad for the families that will have disappointed kids.

Very excited about the Treasure! So happy to discover ALL THE THEMES of EVERY STATEROOM. If anyone wants to know so they can pick their rooms theme, i posted a video on it. I’m with Jackie on Lookout Cay giving me that Aulani vibe as it was being made and being authentic which makes sense because the legendary Joe Rhode helmed both projects. Love this discussion! Loved the show.I have a different angle on the age range in the kids clubs.I have recently cruised with several kids in the 10-12 age and I have to say, as much as they loved going to the OC to experience Star Wars or Marvel, a lot of 11-12 year olds these days, especially girls are not into spending a lot of time with kids younger than them.These 12 yo are basically teenagers and all of them mostly wanted to go to Edge at that point. Also, let’s not forget Edge and Vibe are great tween/teen clubs. Yes some kids will be very sad especially those that just turned 11 and are big Star Wars fans for example and most 11-12 year old are not itching to go into OC as much as you think. Kids are on their phones a lot younger and these days. Unfortunately. It’s not the same 11-12 year olds as 15 years ago even. I was really surprised that the tweens and teens in our group loved DCL all over again, even though I thought they would not having grown out of OC.Even the 14+ loved Vibe.

Im not super excited about the Treasure, but I am super curious about the last ship. I've been just calling it the Mystery bc it has no name however that woyld be a cool name and theme for a ship if Disney is reading these comments, lol. I know it will be similar to the sister ships, but I'm curious about the port and itinerary, as well as the stories that will be featured in the shows and restaurants.

Are they going to have sunken attractions for snorklers? The sunken "treasures" are the best part of Castaway for me. I also think with the kids clubs, Im sure they changed it bc there are always kids gwtting wavers to bump up and there is such a huge age gap 3-12, but the problem is there is so much theming and imageneering on kids club and literally nothing in the teen and tween club. If the kids want that theming, there should be some in all of the clubs.

I feel for those parents who have kids that are disappointed with the new DCL kid club rules. It is always so hard when you have a child that is so excited for something only to learn that the rules have just changed and now they are denied access. My family is going on our first DCL cruise soon and my child is thrilled to be going to the Edge club, but we are not going with any other children and have never experienced the OC (which I know is NOT the case with other families). My child always prefers to be with others of the same age or slightly older-not younger.
