For the low information return visitor, the nostalgic ad is great. It reminds one of the old Disney. But with the brand damage, the prices, and the competition, will this type of marketing be sufficient? No, but better than not doing it. Magic Kingdom attendance was down about 5% from 2019 to 2024. (I don't know when the 2024 numbers will come out.) I would guess at least another 5% in the second half of 2025. And hotels and dining down even more. Sooner or later, Wall Street has to see what the trajectory looks like.

The problem with this campaign is that all of their “worlds” depend on IP that the current team doesn’t know how to market beyond their original stories. Universals worlds are open to a lot more creativity and imagination vs. talking cars that only appeal to 8 year olds.

What are the must dos at Disney these days that a family has to stop over there for for 3-4 days to do? For the five of us it would be around $4,000 for those days, and for what exactly? Already planning our next Florida trip for the year and it doesn't include Disney. Trip two will include Epic Universe and trip three will be HHN.

I have to admit this and I love disney and I'm an annual passholder I think disney has been very ignorant and arrogant in regards to how they are going to compete with epic universe for attractions and experiences in 2025. Well news flash--- Epic Universe CAN and WILL take some attendance numbers from disney parks this year when it opens in May and what is disney doing to counter? Test track 3.0, a zooptopia rethemed tree of life show(maybe), a new night parade and a villains show...😮😮😮 EPIC WIN for Universal EPIC FAIL for Disney... The same thing happened back in 2010 when universal launched the Wizarding world of Harry potter hogsmeade and then 2014 dragon alley disney had to scramble to get Pandora and galaxy's edge built and alot of people feel those lands are slightly underwhelming 🤷🤷🤷🤷 This is just my 2 cents as a big disney parks fan who still will go alot this year I'm skipping epic til later 2025 or 2026 and hoping and praying our disney parks will be just a little less crowded this summer than usual

The hype of Epic will run for at least a decade, and it is only the beginning of much more work from Universal. Disney are already faltering, by destroying legacy attractions at their principal parks...something that nobody asked for but ended up with none the less.
