My Ranking of the Post-Renaissance. 1. Lilo & Stitch - Lilo is one of those Disney characters that is super realistic due to her sisterly relationship with Nani. Stitch is a funny character and is also aggressive just like The Beast and Donald Duck. Just like Mulan, Encanto, The Lion King and Alice in Wonderland, it has 2-4 musical sequences but the songs are super catchy. 2. The Emperor’s New Groove - The funniest Disney movie ever, Yzma and Kronk were hilarious everytime when they get into arguments and screentime together. The plot and the characters makes this super entertaining and Kuzco is a underrated Disney character, we first see him as a spoiled emperor but during the film, we see his funny personality and realizes his mistakes. 3. Treasure Planet - The action scenes is incredible, the voice acting is amazing and the character development between Jim and Silver makes them an underrated duo in a Disney movie. The animation is also amazing and I just love that the climax makes this super underrated. 4. Atlantis: The Lost Empire: Just like The Little Mermaid, the underwater animation is solid and incredible and Kida is a fantastic bravery character. Milo is a funny dude with intelligence, humor and bravery. 5. Meet the Robinsons - This movie is emotional with great writing and solid comedy. The characters were little bit enjoyable but the plot makes me super confused and I’m not sure who was the villain. 6. Brother Bear - Kenai and Koda had great chemistry and the humor is great, the ending scene and the transformation scene executes the movie very well and emotional. It has amazing 2D animation and I’m On My Way sequence is kinda little bit catchy. 7. Bolt - Not sure why this movie received postitive critics, I was super bored while watching it and it barely makes me watch some scenes. Bolt is super spoiled and wouldn’t listen to Mitten’s words because all of his action/superhero scenes aren’t actually real but he did show bravery on the end. 8. Fantasia 2000 - All of the musical segments in this movie is not that great like the original Fantasia, the animation isn’t great, it literally copyed the segment where Mickey so it can get positive critics and the classical music is not that great too. 9. Dinosaur - One of the dinosaur leaders acts super spoiled, naive and cruel. Why do people call this underrated because this movie sucked and it’s super bland. 10. Home on the Range - I hated it so much when I first watched it, the characters always provoke arguments and the villain song is not catchy. Even though the animation wasn’t CGI, I still hate it. 11.Chicken Little - The humor is super annoying and the animation is horrible. All of the characters are super unappealing and annoying at the same time and the plot is the worst of all Disney movies.

Bolt was both critically and financially well succeeded movie. It's the movie that actually revived Disney. Definitely better than Meet the Robinsons or Treasure Planet. Bolt deserves it's own series for Disney+. Alternately having Bolt in next Kingdom Hearts game presented in some way of form would be super great (as a summon, playable world as Sora transformed into a dog, or just a cameo) Bolt deserves some justice and having him hang out with character who shaked Mario's hand would justify him well. :)

Nice video! Here’s my list! 1. Lilo and Stitch (the best of the best and a fan favorite) 2. The Emperor’s New Groove (an underrated underperformed cult classic with lots of funny moments and humor) 3. Atlantis: The Lost Empire (another underrated cult classic that deserves its own theme park ride and TV show for Disney+) 4. Treasure Planet (another underrated underperformed cult classic like Atlantis that also deserves more love and more stuff to follow up) 5. Meet the Robinsons (a CGI cult classic with a motto of “keep moving forward”) 6. Brother Bear (a cult classic with a Phil Collins soundtrack and some hilarious moments) 7. Dinosaur (an underrated cult classic that still has a theme park ride and is a major box-office success with impressive CGI and photorealistic and lifelike CGI dinosaurs that look scientifically outdated; a similar problem with photorealistic CGI animals plagued the 2019 remake of “The Lion King” which also was a major box-office success and faced similar critical problems like Dinosaur) 8. Bolt (a cult classic that paved the way for another Disney Animation Renaissance also known as the Disney Revival era) 9. Fantasia 2000 (a sequel to 1940’s Fantasia but for modern audiences at the time where the franchise would most likely get a revisit for a Disney+ anthology series called “Fantasia Evolved” or “Fantasia+”) 10. Chicken Little (a movie that failed to imitate the popularity of the Pixar and DreamWorks) 11. Home on the Range (a movie that paled in comparison to its predecessors and killed hand-drawn animation, but it still had some elements of Westerns and martial arts and mostly good comedy and characters)

I cannot like this comment enough. This movie is DEFINITELY in my personal Top 3 from this era, right behind Lilo and Stitch and Emperor's New Groove, and just edging out Atlantis. Personally I loved the soundtrack (sometimes I'll catch myself randomly humming "Great Spirits" from the intro sequence, or singing "On My Way" when I'm leaving work and going to some sort of event), the animation was quite good, the stylistic choice of starting off with one aspect ratio and color palette and switching to another after the transformation was EXTREMELY well-executed in my opinion (and something that gives this movie an extremely unique flavor, as very few other movies have attempted such an aspect ratio shift), and the story leaves you feeling good. Admittedly some of the Rutt and Tuke humor can fall a little flat (I personally think the "I Spy" sequence ran a bit too long), but other humor definitely hits for me ("You don't think he'll follow those [tracks]? They're very nice, by the way.") and they even manage to have a touching moment where they indirectly convince Koda to give Kenai another chance after the Big Reveal scene. All in all, I feel that Brother Bear is a seriously underrated movie, and (getting back to the original topic) I feel like if you are making a KZbin channel where you review movies, you should make sure you're pronouncing all the characters' names correctly.

I guess I'm the only person in the world who likes Bolt. Seriously... I consider Bolt as my third favorite Disney movie with Aladdin being #1 and Lion King being #2, and I pretty much grew up on Disney. Personally, I thought the moral of the whole story, while simple, was executed beautifully.

I grew up on some of these movies, Meet the Robinsons, Bolt, Lilo and Stitch, Emperors new groove, and… The sequel to Atlantis. Lilo and Stitch and Atlantis are in my top 3. I also saw chicken little as a kid. So it’s kinda nostalgic. I only saw treasure planet one time as a kid. I think I was 4 years old, IDK?

The turn of the millennium was a time where animation began to evolve. Given how audiences were impressed by CGI in the late 90's, traditional 2D animation began to lose mainstream interest. Either Disney released the 2D animated films at bad times, or some of said films couldn't quite measure up to those films of the Renaissance despite being great in their own right. Even their own CGI efforts couldn't match what Pixar delivered.

I think after the early 2000s, they started badly half-assing in the 2D department. Sure, Pixar style animation is cool and all, but there’s just something else about the high quality 2D animation from the 90s, like the shadows of smoke/fire from an infuriated Hades when Pain & Panic are wearing Hercules’s merchandise. Bring some of that stuff back…

I love Atlantis. It has all of my biggest Disney crushes. Kida, Helga, Audrey, Milo, and Dr. Sweet. I also kind of liked Vinny as a kid, but not as much as the others.

Bolt and Brother Bear should be much higher, at the least above Atlantis, Fantasia 2000, Treasure Planet and Meet The Robinsons. Other than that, I agree with this list.

Are u kidding me?! I love Bolt! Great characters, compelling story, cool animation, immersive action, and of course… RHINO THE HAMSTER!!! 🐹⚡️😃 He’s fully awesome! 😎😎😎 Btw, John Travolta did a great job as Bolt! Besides, who else could have played him? Tim Allen? Chris Pratt? Adam West? Maybe. 🤔
