Common assault and or a breach of the peace/public order offence. A breach of the peace/public order offence: Pulling on the reigns in front of a sign that says "Do not touch the reigns." And then doing at again TWICE after being told not to, both distresses the guard and horse as well as putting them and the public in danger. Common Assault: After being told by the guard not to touch the guard, touching the guard AGAIN. This puts the guard in fear for their physical wellbeing not knowing what this person who just disregarded their lawful command might do next. If I touched you as a stranger in public and you told me not to, and then I did it again while leering cruel comments toward you like "ohh you're hard mate hahaa" you could press charges for common assault. Which is exactly what this family did. So there are two crimes they could have been charged with. Now maybe you are better educated in how to conduct yourself in public both morally and legally while visiting the UK and enjoying our military traditions. Kind regards.

If it gets spooked by a tourist that's too close disaster can be immediate and devastating. This is a beast with pure muscle and strength that's capable of seriously maiming or even killing someone.

A clear plastic screen would also be very problematic when the horses are being changed over. It could work with the footguards in the arches though.
