If you love this type of content please let us know by commenting or liking. These videos take an absorbent amount of time and are more for the real drifters than anyone else.
Dissecting Drift is a series where we take a deep dive into what happened at a particular event. Filling you in on the angle, lines, mistakes, and the high caliber driving that verifies a win. Myself, as a champion FD driver with 20 years of drifting experience and insight will break down the winner of each battle. Even if we don't agree with the judges.

No offence to the FD judges and commentators but imo I'd rather hear what Chelsea, an actual FD champion thinks of each run. Also, it's awesome hearing exactly what each lead and chase is being judged on and what the drivers could've done differently

bra, if the judges could do half of what chelsea is doing here, they would get 110% of their calls correct, whats wrong with just having a side by side, and pausing at the key points on the course to see which driver did better, yes it might take 2-3 minutes to do this, but fans would appreciate this more, and drivers wouldnt feel like they being fucked over, FD needs to realize that they would be nowhere without the fans and drivers, i can only imagine how boring FD would be if the heavyweight drivers start pulling out, and with that, the fans stop supporting, then its bye bye Formula Drift!

I think if FD wants to save face after Atlanta... they need to rethink the rules changes this year and get new judges. Judges that have actually drifted before. Can you imagine how respected the calls would be if Chelsea was a judge? Edit: the judges all drift, I'm actually blown away. They all just decided to make terrible calls at Atlanta? Or does the new betting have something to do with the calls. Seems kinda scummy.
@02bluehawk

@@02bluehawk then how was the terrible call that Adam AND Rome got allowed to be official? That dude should have deliberated with the other judges and made it make sense.
@02bluehawk
@02bluehawk 3 ай бұрын
@ifruend90 I agree that I don't agree with Romes' call. I get their reasoning "the contact wasn't enough to cause him to be in the gravel", ok but the car is already broken so it isn't going to react the same way it would have at the beginning of the event so yes the contact was bad enough to cause Rome to end up in the gravel. However, Adams call was called correctly based on how the rules are written. Matt's contact with Adam was enough to upset the transition, but not enough to cause the car to completely stop drifting, Adam made the decision to stop drifting. With how the rules are if Adam had caught his over rotation as he did and fired back off, he 100% would have won. As the judge said in the live stream, "Adam shut it down on his own," and Adam has even said he shut it down to "show the contact effected him." No one disagrees that the contact affected him, but it isn't what stopped him from drifting. Adam CHOOSE to stop drifting, and that is why he lost. Adam's battle is not the fault of the judges. Adam's battle is the fault of the current rules that limit what is considered a zero, and Adam choosing to shut it down instead of trying to finish.
@Knock5orElse
@Knock5orElse 3 ай бұрын
@@02bluehawk youre right. I saw FD comment on something and explained it. They had mentioned INTIMATELY at the drivers meeting that if contact is made and it disrupts a drift... to just stick to either over rotating or going off course to basically prove to the judges that the contact is what caused it. Which means Adam terminating his drift because of the contact was a violation to the rules that were brought up at the drivers meeting. I strongly disagree with that, but a rule is a rule. Crappy and doesnt make for a good competitive environment, but it is what it is. Romes call was still BS lmao.
