Fantastic Dissident Mama! This interview was every bit as good as the one you had with Paul Gottfried. Good job 👏

It's a challenge to interview these stalwarts whose lives are so fascinating. How much bio do you cover? Do you stick to a couple topics or try to touch on many? What if they hate the questions and the interviewer who very well might be shaking in her boots?! 😁 So, your comment really means a lot, David. Thanks!

Great interview. Thanks, Mama. At 34 minutes, Mr. Fleming says something like "...Living in San Francisco...I realized that God may not exist, but I was certain that the Devil exists..." I'm not at Mr. Fleming's level intellectually, but that reflects my religious development.

@@DissidentMama This will surprise you--I am a leftist albeit of a left has been rejected by the current crowd--it is a long conversation and if pressed I would not call the folks whom Tom denounces "left" Many of us--abandoned leftists-- have more in common with folks like Tom than you would imagine. I have corresponded with Tom for several years now-- he helps me with my ancient Greek :) He is sure right about John's Gospel in Greek!!

It's a toss-up between this episode and the Dr. Devanny episode which is best. Great episode nonetheless.

For real? Where is this guy getting his info most of the founders were trinitarian Christians. Patrick Henry took offense to be called a deist. James Iredell wrote to family members warning against deism. Roger Sherman, John Dickinson, John Witherspoon, Samuel Adams (not his prickly cousin), John Rutledge, and George Mason were all devout trinitarian Christians. The founding generation was more than just Washington, John Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Franklin, Hamilton, Wilson, and Paine. As far as Presidents, Tyler, Pierce (Flemming mentioned him), and Coolidge were all definitely Christians.
