I love that people coming on this series are like “yeah that makes sense” when he goes like “when you sacrifice you monster and there’s a full moon outside, if your opponent does put a spoonful of sugar in his mouth you’re not allowed to activate the trigger effect”. YGO is such a weird game at times… nonetheless this was a very good episode, keep up the good work!

Well for some parts it was pretty self explainitory like the ha des ruling the way the text was worded meow was pretty much continously negated "any monsters hit by fiends". There are certain rulings that are again self explainitory where you literally have to apply a pretty decent level of english for certain rulings and then there are complex ones like the triple tactics ruling where you literally have to look at judge forums to know.

Ah, question 8 is rough. At first I thought he was right, because it could be similar to CbtG vs Balelynx. However, the continuous negation of CtbG only applies ON FIELD while activated negation is applied anywhere. Still, fun ruling questions. Because there would be a replay and the replay threw him for a twist. He thought a replay would allow for Santana to trigger, but replays are all still apart of the battle step

Hey coder, I have a ruling question. If I have Virtual World Hime Nyan Nyan in my grave, and I activate The Phantom Knights Of Shade Brigandine. On resolution I activate a The Phantom Knights Of Stained Greaves to special summon itself and I choose to make it a level 4. So because of negative values, I have a Venom Swamp question. Venom Swamp reads: During each player's End Phase: Place 1 Venom Counter on each face-up monster, except "Venom" monsters. Monsters lose 500 ATK for each Venom Counter on them. Destroy a monster if its ATK becomes 0 by this effect. So it doesn't destroy monsters who's ATK is originally 0, or monsters whose ATK is set to 0 by a "becomes" effect. My question is if you stacked counters on a 0 ATK monster, then someone activated a card/ effect that'd increase that monster's ATK, would Venom Swamp kill the monster because the ATK reduction from it is keeping that monster at 0 ATK due to negative values? Or would the monster have to break out of negative values and then fall back down to 0 first?

Can someone confirm the ruling for question 7? Cause I remember the rulings have been revised for summon trigger effects, where the player that summons the monster is the one that gets to activate the effect.

I know for the last event I judged they told us that for procedures where a monster where to be summoned in chain of TTT taking a monster, that the player that summoned that monster still gets to activate it's trigger effects, so the player summoning the guardian chimera still gets the draw X and destroy Y effect, not the player that steals it when it's effect is allowed to activate.

I actually don't know the answer but if you want to find out then you could test it on duel links, considering that both cards are available on there. If I had to guess, I'd say that you gain life points from oracle's effect considering how it just applies without starting any chains or anything like that

I don’t understand the ruling with Prank Lids Rocket Ride, why it still gets to attack directly after it has its effect negated after it has already successfully resolved and applied its effect. If the effect already happened and applies, I don’t get why negating it after the fact only takes away the attack loss.

it declared a direct attack, negating the ability to attack directly doesn't stop the attack from going through since it's more like "negate the ability for the monster to declare a direct attack"

Hahaha, I knew Sangan won't be activated, cause putting simple words you never went to the damage step, so technically since there was no damage step at all, you can't active the effect of sangan. I additionally knew that you can't activate meow meow mu effect, cause the fact of substituting the cost it's an effect. Btw, I got the pandemonium correct thanks to Pak cause I didn't know it was a one-effect card.

I was actually able to understand the correct rulings he got wrong, although everything else before was a wild ride since I wasn't familiar with the cards, but I had a good gist on how it worked after reading it. For the Fansies, Lampsies, and Place question I assume you have monsters in your hand? Otherwise you wouldn't be able to activate the first two at all (if all you have is Spells you no longer have any legal targets for those two). I was pretty convinced that was a trick question lol.
