Distributor BOSCH Repair Volvo B20A

In this program, we will repair the ignition distributor.
DISTRIBUTOR BOSCH 0231170085
These parts will be needed for repair:
contacts Bosch 1237013062
capacitor ( condenser ) Bosch 1237330275
/or that I using /
rotor Bosch 1234332215
distributor cap Bosch 1235522056
LUBRICATING
Lubricate the breaker plate
Saturate the lubricating felt
Grease the weights
Grease the washers
Steep the bushes in oil for at least 1/2 hour
before fitting. Saturate lubricating felt
Fill lubricator with oil
Oil shaft before fitting
Smear breaker cam with light layer
Grease the movable contact bush
USE BOSCH LUBRICANT

Hey Patrick, thank you for the video. If somebody change the parts of the distributor, don´t forget to lubricate the distributor inside under the finger and outside on the oil support

Thanks for another brilliant video Patrick! Love all the detailed info you provide with a bit of humour😀. I agree that the quality of parts is no longer as good as it was in the past when things were made in Germany😀. But sometimes the cheap parts are good enough. I don't like to overpay too. I think that these old parts are still cheaper comparing the sensors and electronics of modern cars😅

Marcin, I am very pleased to read your comments! Yes, the spare parts can be used, they work fine, but they don't look perfect like the ones that were produced before. Yes, sensors and all the other electronic scrap in modern cars are more expensive than parts for our cars, which are time-tested. But sometimes there are bad spare parts... I remember forever the case when I came to the car service and an electrician put a sensor in my car that didn't work, as it turned out later, he then checked all the wires in the car and took money for it😱. Either he's an idiot or he was just lying to me. Now I got rid of the "new" cars and do everything myself. Thanks for your support.😃
