I am 66 and a couple of years ago, this was my first listen to Disturbed. I then went on to listen to everything I could find by the band, not knowing what to expect. I had never listened to 'metal' music before and I really loved it...the lyrics, the message, the vocals and the very talented Disturbed musicians...especially love the solo guitar section on Stricken...the almost rap like vocals in Stupify and the emotion evoked hearing Hold on to Memories. David has such an interesting life history and seems every bit an honorable man.

Knowing only a few Disturbed songs from the radio and MTV, it was shocking to hear how beautiful his voice was when I first heard this cover.

David Draiman was a professionally trained Cantor. He was very sick this night. From what I have heard, had a 102° temperature that night. They autotuned two very small pieces of this without his knowledge. He was absolutely furious that they even did THAT much. He prides himself on his raw UNFILTERED voice and did not appreciate it. I saw an interview with him about it. He has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard. I also Loved your reaction and you are very easy on the eyes as well. One small piece of advice.....don't stop it so much. ❤️

The reason David's voice is so powerful is because he no only conveys the emotions he literally makes the audience FEEL the emotion! Only the most powerful of singers can do that. It is truly one of the oldest forms of magic!! 10:17

And...David Draiman was terribly sick for this performance, dragged himself out of his sick bed to do it. And hated the autotone that was used without him knowing it would be done. The music video for this song is a stunning work of art with a great story, totally gorgeous.

I enjoy watching people’s reactions to Sound of Silence by Disturbed! This song was my introduction to Disturbed! They are my new favorite group! My daughter and I were lucky enough to see Breaking Benjamin and Disturbed at a concert a few months ago! My daughter is a super fan of Breaking Benjamin! I am a 56 year old mom who loves David Draimans voice! He commands the stage! Check out Hold on to Memories by Disturbed! New subscriber here!

His studio music video has almost hit one billion views. This song was my first introduction to Disturbed, well the music video and I cried throughout it. It's such a powerful piece. Then I went to listen to their normal stuff and loved it too . Especially In to the fire, which as sad as it is , is a very touching emotional piece done extremely well. Then of course down with the sickness. They're just brilliant at either end of spectrum.

It’s truly a beautiful buildup of instrumentation, but, thankfully never overcrowds the vocals. To me, it’s weary warriors picking themselves up for a final fight, and Draiman’s voice is the rallying call. To me, it’s a lost fight, but it’s a very moving swan song.
