Gotta say, Clint Eastwood seems like an upstanding director. He made sure all precautions were taken, and when things went wrong he wanted to cease production out of respect for the victim. He only continued production after _the crew themselves_ said to do so.

Honestly he's seemed like a good dude to me for awhile. Watch some of his interviews where he talks about his beliefs and stuff. He's pretty much someone that believes in letting people be themselves as long as it doesn't hurt others. Seems like a stand up guy from what I've seen.

@@anothergamingchannel2656 He can be a bit of an old fart and some of his political views are a bit iffy, however he's no John Wayne in that sense. So when it comes to actors who got big based off the western genre, he's one of the better examples and he's also an alright director even if the Mule was a bit egocentric.

The Clint Eastwood story genuinely felt... almost heartwarming in a way? Don't get me wrong, Knowles' death is horrible, but hearing how respectful everyone involved with the film was about it and how the proper precautions were taken it's just... a nice change of pace from the constant malpractice you see on set usually that causes tragedy to happen.

No one should be asked to do a stunt they're not 1000% comfortable with, but ESPECIALLY not one that involves animals they're not properly trained to work with. Even well-trained horses are notorious for spooking at _literally nothing at all_ so handling them in a stressful situation is dangerous enough for a professional. Putting anyone but an expert in that position basically guaranteed a disaster.

Thank you for covering the Taylor Hickson "accident". I put that in quotes bc it never should have happened and more people should know it did. I was getting my degree in set design when it happened and my jaw dropped that they hadn't used safety glass. I mean, common sense says to use it in that sort of scene but the added knowledge had me hoping she sued the director out of the galaxy.

"The Death of a Musketeer" got me thinkin' about a story on the director's commentary for "T2". James Cameron said that he thought Arnie rode his motorcycle out of the parking garage too slow. So he asked him, "Do you think you can do that any faster?" Arnie, the big, buff Austrian that he was, simply said, "No." This shouldn't be a compromise. If you don't feel safe doing it. Don't do it!

im not sure if it be something of intrest to add in for the next vid on this subject but the early years of the animation film industry and even chunks of today have a lot of pretty nasty stuff that occurs beyond just the typical stuff you hear about during strikes . especially during that transition from having an ink/paint department into the digital era. id be happy to contact you with some of those examples if you want or jumping off points. I work in the animation side of the industry myself and its always been heartbreaking to hear what happened to progress the art form . Its a beautiful form of storytelling thats unfortunately lanced with a lot of undercutting between directors in its early life that ultimately resulted in a lot of people getting hurt . Thank you for creating this series its important to hear the voices of the people who've been hurt /lost their lives

I enjoy this new setup. Personally I think the "impersonal" approach that a lot of KZbinrs take who focus on disturbing/creepy content i.e. showing less face shots and focusing more on b-roll or context related images, is a lot better. There are certain KZbinrs in this genre who don't opt for that (not naming names) but it kind of takes me out of it and I think this is a way better format.

I watched a documentary about actors and how they mentally prepare for movie roles in an unhealthy way, big emphasis was put on the role of the joker and the case of Heath ledger. His mental state was influenced by artificial insanity that came to life the deeper into the role he got, to the point where he was doing things unscripted but fitting to the character both on and off set...at first i thought it was nonsense but they make a good point in my opinion. I totally agree that better safety measures other than a cover for their hospital stay should be introduce to prevent harm to those in the line of the profession!

One that comes to mind was during filming of the 1986 B-film, Hands of Steel, aka Atomic Cyborg. Some of the film was filmed in Italy, while the rest was filmed in Arizona. One particular scene involving the villains riding a helicopter was filmed in both locations, the former using closeups of the actors. John Saxon, adhering to the rules of Screen Actors Guild, only agreed to film in Italy, and as such, refused to film the sequence in Arizona. It's lucky he refused, because the helicopter crashed, killing his co-star Claudio Cassinelli.

Fascinating, no one should have to lose their life or even suffer injury performing for their livelihood no matter what that might be. One thing to note is that there is no such thing as an accident. You can look at any situation that ends in an unintended result and find the one thing that, if done, would have prevented that unintended result. This has become so evident that many law enforcement organizations no longer refer to automobile accidents as accidents since a collision between vehicles is invariably caused by someone's inattentiveness, carelessness, neglect, or some other condition that had it not been ignored, property would not have been damaged, and more importantly, people would not have been injured or worse. Of course, this has nothing to do with your page's morbid entertainment value. And there endith the lesson.

I couldn't help but notice that there are often times grammatical errors in your scripts, or instances when words are used in the incorrect contexts. Maybe this only sticks out to me because I've worked in writing and editing but it's just a thought. Having an extra set of eyes can really help catch things like that. I'm really happy for you and your success and I just thought that maybe the little piece of constructive criticism may help or be something for you to consider in the future as you continue to step up the production value of your videos.
