Roger has been hunting and fishing for years. So it stands to reason that he processes his fish and game on his own.
We have shown you how he has done it for years, but now we have something new. It's time to ditch the vacuum sealer!
The time for the Chamber Vac has come and all we can say is WOW! This is a game changing machine.
Come check it out and see for yourself why we love this machine. Links to everything in the video are below.
Thanks for watching!

Yes Vacuum chamber sealer are used to be for commercial use and they are so expensive. It’s great that some company finally offer cheaper alternative that works so well

I finally took the plunge and got one of these. For years I've become quite adept at using suction machines by double-bagging, putting bits of paper towel in to stop the liquid reaching the element, partially freezing wet stuff etc, but I knew in my heart of hearts that I wanted a chamber sealer. Thankfully these domestic versions appeared and its a game-changer. I plan to experiment with it for dehydrating parboiled potatoes for extra crispy roast potatoes (the theory being that water 'boils' in a vacuum, so it should be possible to drive off even more moisture from potatoes.
@RogersRigs
@RogersRigs 2 жыл бұрын
THAT was my experience too! thanks for the comment. The crispy spuds idea sounds interesting. applesauce "boils" like crazy in there. id like to see what happens to a potato. I wonder where the moisture would go? out into the chamber? or out the pump into the room.
@horsenuts1831

@@RogersRigs In theory the vapor from the 'boiled water' should leave the machine through the exhaust nozzle, and then be replaced with slightly drier air from the atmosphere, so it may need several long vacuum cycles to boil off any remaining water. I figure it depends on the relative humidity of where you are and the ambient temperature. In winter when temperatures are lower, the humidity levels should be lower (because cold air holds less moisture - hence the reason the fridge is the driest place in the house). i.e., don't try this in the Tropics, but do try it in a Canadian winter. I live in England where it is quite humid all year round, so I would have to choose a cold and frosty day and leave the kitchen window open.

Ahh that makes sense. thank you for the science details. I love that stuff. we have fairly dry air here in Northern USA. it snowed today. Based on my trip to Ireland 2 decades ago I suspect your potatoes taste significantly better than our USA potatoes do. Even fresh from the garden here are not as flavorful as the tubers I had over there

Yeah, I got so fed up with those FoodSaver & others external air-sucking units. The heater strip craps out too damn prematurely!! I had trouble with every one of them!! Since I had my Wevac CV-10 chamber unit, I never looked back!!!! It's a godsend!! Smaller than the others, but it really does the job!!

My foodsaver blew out. New model I wanted was almost $300.00. Foodsaver has been reducing the bag sizes, putting less bags in their boxes and charging more. Corporate greed. I make a lot of sauces and it was a hassle to fill the bag, fold it and put it in freezer overnight, then seal the next day. My friend has this and invited me over to watch and I couldn't believe how easy it was to seal sauces! Bags are cheaper too! Bought the VS20 today and glad to see it is on sale. Check out the "bag fill funnel" on Amazon you get two for $20.00, you can fill your bags easily with it and I love it! I am looking forward to receiving the sealer wish I bought one a long time ago. Thank you for your great video and happy sealing!!! :)

How many pieces would I have to cut a full packer brisket into to seal it in this sealer?
@RogersRigs
@RogersRigs 2 жыл бұрын
the chamber is about the sise of a sheet of paper and about 3.5" deep. so if its a big raw brisket it might end up in 3 pcs. However last summer i smoked 2 16lb briskets we ended up with over half of one brisket left over and i managed to chamber vac pack it. IT WAS AWESOME 4 month later at camp to bust it out and heat it up at the end of a long day of hiking! thanks for watching!

Three times the price of a vacuum sealer?
@RogersRigs
@RogersRigs 2 жыл бұрын
@Larry Benoit, It is expensive and obviously not for everyone. There are advantages to it. Like a better sealed product. It can be a real pain to try to seal things in a normal food saver type machine that have even the smallest amount of juice it it, but this thing could have a cup of water in it and it would still seal. That and the bags are much cheaper. We have been getting them for less than $0.05/each with this one, whereas we have had to pay up to $0.25/each for the regular vacuum seal bags. With the amount of meat, fish, and veggies we do the savings really add up quickly. Thanks for your question and for watching

$40 bucks a pound for LOIN??????????????????????? YIKES!!!!!! so a doe has maybe 10 lbs of loin that is $400! It is really yummy though. but if i was ever to figure the cost of guns, amo, bows arrows, and the TIME! i bet id still be making .$50 and hour. but i figure if i was into golfing, i would have lots of expenses and nothing to take home. unless i killed a woodchuck on the back 9 :-). If you want some venison I would definitely try to ship you some for free.
