Very very delicious cake! I had to substitute the all purpose flour with wheat flour per doctor's orders and it was still delicious. My family can eat whatever they want and gobbled down my wheat strawberry cake😢.... we all love it. We appreciate you!

This looks delicious and I can just imagine how it smells. My one note is that the pinch of salt in the frosting doesn't reduce the sweetness, it intensifies it. Beyond that, this looks like a great recipe.

So it’s my daughter‘s second birthday today, and I just found out that I have Covid yesterday. Like of all times? I think that’s a part of pandemic parent initiation, you have to be involved in at least one birthday party that’s been canceled due to the virus.😩😅 Anyways, I’m making this cake for her tonight. I have a question. When I was younger my mother had a recipe for a fresh strawberry cake. We lost the recipe and I have been unable to find it anywhere. I remember some parts of it because I watched her and helped her make it at least twice in my memory. I recall she used fresh strawberries that she had sliced and frozen with sugar and I think lemon juice. She used a white box cake mix and strawberry jello mix. I also recall a stick of butter and 4 eggs. It was a four layer cake. When it was finished it was very sweet and you could see the slices of strawberries between the lagers and all over the outside. Do you know of this recipe. I would like to try to recreate it and add it to my repertoire as a family tradition for summer. Both my Mother and the lady who originally gave her the recipe have passed.
