The Dwarfes of Erebor are my favorite faction by far, but they felt kinda one dimensional and the lack of scripts is kinda meh also. I would like to some kind of dragon script (not fighting a dragon directly but some sort of story line around it) and the war vs. the Easterlings could also be a late game script. Or some kind of ancillary forging. I also never understood why the eredluin balrog script was not working for erebor and khazad dum.

​@@Emanon... I think that Tolkien states that the dwarfs do not keep any animals unless its for food so i think that the chariots are out of the question, it would also distrupt the balnce unless they would get some heavy infantry nerfs

I think I remember hearing that the reason the halberds were dropped is that there isn't actually a 'dwarf halberd' animation so they were really just pikemen with AP instead, which is why they always felt like such a buzz saw of a unit and kinda impossible to balance.

I've been playing Erebor and it's the most fun campaign I've played probably ever in a total war game, but I do wish you guys would give them some sort of script that isn't the grudges, maybe something to do with Dale and the Elves? Like maybe if you take settlements from dol guldur for them they'll give you access to more units, that could be fun.

I concur with some here, losing the halberds is a sorry sight. I thoroughly enjoy Erebor playthrough, although after Gundabad, it is a bit boring. "Kings" units are awesome. Among the top 5 favorite factions to play as for me.

Unfortunately the effects of stubbornness of the dwarves are not very effective due to the fact your units really won't run. The fatigue effects are a double edged sword as well

I think I like playing Erebor the most just because of the powerful roster that can bulldoze everything. However Khazad-Dum definitely has a much more fun campaign starting from nothing.

Sorry if this comment sounds stupid, but I am very new to the third age total war mod and started my first campaign as Erebor (in the version). I was just wondering if there was any way to reduce the time it takes to recruit another unit (like the Erebor infantry taking 12 turns until I can make another one). Is there a building I need to construct or anything like that? Or is it just how it is. Edit: nvm I understand it now

@charger9912 no you can not speed it up, there are some factions that haev slow recuirtment time. to conquer more sttlements and get teh culture up. 12 Turns is not that long. There are other factions that regularly have 20 and more turns.

@@Lord_Imrahil Yeah nah I figured that out a while ago lol. Currently in my Erebor campaign (haven't touched it in a while) I've taken over most of the northern part of the map. Waypoints are so clutch. Though, unfortunately, Gondor is getting cooked by Mordor right now.

Im one of the few who actually liked the rams. It was fitting, they're mountain animals. Dwarves from other stories ride ram type creatures, eragon for instance
