I agree with prior comments. I would like to see more detail on analyzing REITs, BDCs, MLPs, LPs, CEFs. And while were at it, the various types of REITs.

Yes, I would love to watch a series of videos of you showing how you research individual types of dividend paying companies. This video is the perfect primer for a comprehensive series. I know taxes play a role and differ with some of these types of investments so anything you could bring yo light on taxes would be grateful, too. Personally, I've been looking for companies with dividends that have a decent options market. Growth is nice but my focus is on the cashflow. Combining covered straddles on top of receiving dividends has been very successful method of growing my accounts. Cash flow is king, in my book.

I would love to see series about analyzing different dividend paying companies. Mainly traditional consumer stamples companies, serivices providing comp., utility comp. etc. and also REIT's and BDC's. You are my most favorite channel about investing and this would be another great addition to your list of videos.

In Canada, our interest rates are subject to increasing in 2022, and I believe that BDC's will be a good financial tool to invest in prior to rate increases due to their nature in lending to (hopefully) profitable businesses and generally have lower overhead stock price than some of those large consumer brands. I would love to hear your opinion on BDC's in this scenario in a follow up video about BDC's as a whole! Love the content, I'm a new viewer and this is my first year investing. Trust I will be eager to see more content from you going forward!

When researching individual stocks, I find it pretty easy to work out why the dividend payment graph works out the way it does, due to industry news or market-wide events like the big covid dip in March 2020. But when researching ETFs, I often find that the graph of dividend payouts is all over the place or trends downward with not much of a readily apparent reason why (stock price is a complete flatline or there's no correlation to newsworthy events). How can I work out what's going on with these ETFs and why they appear to be volatile or in decline with their dividend payments in a way that would be suicidal for a single company to do with their own stock?

Great Video, I also look these standard metrics pretty much , one of the tools I use is definitely seeking alpha, but the limitation with SA if you are not a paid subscriber some of the metrics are not available. You covered all bases in the stock analysis. Just on a lighter side, look at the market trend last coupe of weeks, beating all our trends and expectations, most of the stocks have recorded biggest one day gains. haha. I recently started watching everything money and they have a pretty good tool with 8 pillars stock analysis. If you are into crypto, may be one video you can cover on Cryptos and the best trading platforms and any insights, if you are not into crypto, then leave it. I just started getting to know about Crypto, fairly new into crypto. Cheers

One metric I learned the hard way to pay attention to is diversification of income sources for REITs. This would apply to any dividend investment. However , investing carries risk. The higher the return, the higher the risk. What you look at today can change tomorrow.

D_B, I also like to read thru the 8k & 10K's. I give it a read through and then go back and read "Management's Discussion and Analysis of Financial Condition and Results of Operations" paying close attention to what is said/not said and reading between the lines given what the rest of the document states. Just discovered your channel and I've found it very useful and informative. Thanks!
