@SecretSuffocation
@SecretSuffocation 2 жыл бұрын
@@cj.t.7321 Actually, that's not stupid, it is the most accurate way to use it because it mirrors the subconscious. Only you do know best what happened in your life and wich choices your stomach would tend to make for the future. And most of the time you know more about the cards meaning than your opposites. So maybe your choices were (I don't want to call it) 'stupid' ? Claiming that this is a bad thing to do sounds more like inexperience and not really being in touch with your subconscious.

Anyone else a wiccan, pagen, witch, or an eclectic like myself? I find it all very fascinating, since I was very young and as I got older, magick in the real world was different (obviously). What attracted me was that, it can interconnect with every mythos and religion, besides the abrahamic ones. I, personally, use tarot cards as a way of self divination, that can help me figure some things out in my life, and it's always interpreted differently as to what I felt it could connect to. There isn't a very specific way to know the future, but it could help with things that happened, that could be affecting the present, and help move on to the future better. If that makes any sense to anyone

I'm what I would consider a Daoist pagan, because I take some concepts from Eastern philosophy, and I read tarot as well. I tend to find that it is usually accurate when I go into self-reflection. Sometimes It's actually frightening how accurate my readings have become. And idc what people say about the zodiac, but when I mix the Chinese and Western zodiac I receive some jarringly true character insights.

@Evilgood1
@Evilgood1 5 жыл бұрын
Behudet Maat Substance and quality? Yes. Written down so that we have a wide breadth of them? Unfortunately less so. I’m trying to write a story which draws inspiration from several different Native American myths, but that’s difficult when most of them are either not written down or not written in a language I can read. Unless I can afford to go on a road trip and speak with the people who know the old stories, then my best bet is to invent mythologies that use a similar kernel of truth and interpretation of truth.

I read tarot, usually not for free (low cost though), but there are times, especially when the client is emotionally exhausted or I notice they’ve been through rough shit that I don’t charge them for the reading (not tryna get compliments for my attitude though, it’s the ethical thing to do) I usually charge for readings because it is tiring to use my energy into knowing which card to draw and interpret as I talk with my client (involves some intuition that doesn’t come naturally, like a feeling of not crossing some random street, but it’s like I have to force the intuition to come) I charge for the exhaustion I have to do the readings But depending on which kind of reading one would want, it’d be roughly a dollar to to five dollars

I have done a few readings myself though I personally refuse to charge for them, as I use my ability to try to help people understand the things that have happened to them and I believe that information should be freely given. I had a mental breakdown once several years ago, and I spend about a week or two in a mental health ward, and I would do readings for a few of the other patients really more for the sake of having something to do. But I had a young man I did a reading for, and I spent the next hour or so listening to his life story up to that point and the issues he'd been dealing with that had led him to where we met. He told me several things that I had hinted at during his reading, and it was actually quite incredible how many things I had hinted at that he had never mentioned to anyone else prior to meeting much less his mentioning them to me directly. It's been many years now since then, and I hope that he is doing well as he had lived a very difficult life prior to my meeting him

In the Anakin Skywalker case, there is another interesting part. What leads him astray is a dream that he believes predicts the death of his wife Padme an event he comes to believe he can prevent by becoming more powerful but the things he does do reach that goal ends up being the reason Padme in the end dies. The dream was not a prediction -it was a warning.

i’ve recently started scrying. From what i’ve gathered from beginner instructions/videos it’s nothing more then seeing the images in your minds eye and usually are vivid. More like meditation and reflecting on what you saw. The most vivid I was in a dream like state closed my eyes and came to what I call the “House of Arches”. I wanted to see if I could make myself a specific thing and not just random stuff. I want see a house and maybe tour it. I saw a room of arches and I was next to a spiral staircase. I eventually panicked cause i felt something pushing my head towards my scrying mirror and had to open my eyes. A friend who’s done it longer then I have referred to it as the “other world” but not really in the sense of the land of the dead or those below but more like a mental space.

And sometimes you heed not our warnings. And sometimes we know that though we try,a thing is most certainly to be. But our attempts are laid out in a way we cannot help but to do....its complicated at best...

Pre exile Judaism had the the ephod with the Urim and its counterpart for divining God's will. Other forms mentioned the Bible involve entail examining, random arrow drawing, casting lots, and unexplained divination involving idols and a silver cup.

I use tarot cards to divine for answers to questions or to help me make a decision. I read for friends, but don't charge any money. I don't predict the future. I have done free readings on Biddy Tarot in the past. This helped me to gain confidence in my abilities and understand that I had the gift. However this is not what the divine source wants me to do, so I stick to using Tarot Cards for myself and friends. I also have prophesised the future for someone else through visions that eventually came true. It is not comfortable feeling being able to see the future because you are never really sure if your predictions will come true or not. My son is a pre-cognitive dreamer, but he doesn't use the gift except for himeself.

I personally have prophetic dreams and read tarot... it is just like the stories say... you're given a proficy but no details, there are things that you cannot prevent as well. The visions and messages are pretty crazy if you don't know what is going on

My mom had a "Witch" throw those Tarot cards for her a few years ago. She was always into the horoscope and that stuff. Now, I am not. But even I can't deny her life made a whole 180 after that.

The comic book In The Small uses divination in a lot of ways. Mouse uses prophecy, d.a.v speaks to angels, pixie sees all. It was kinda odd as it never really got a chance to explain it. Dr.manhattan is also a good example of someone with the power of divination. (Well don’t know if living at every point in time, but in one “body” counts as divination.)

The reading of entrails is an interesting one. The Chinese I-Ching system even more interesting...I wonder what your thoughts are on Remote Viewing, can that not be seen as a way of peering ahead as well??? On magick, chaos magick has shown quite some promise and results. At least in the true do it ur own way style of influencing the emergence of events.

i believe in all aspects of the arcana, divination is something i do myself actually. when it comes to magic though, you need to realize that its actually almost impossible to break down into catagories, for each spell, caster, and everything else in existance is completely relative.
