‘Divisive’ comments cost Don Cherry his job

Don Cherry’s comments about new immigrants not wearing poppies have cost him his job at Hockey Night in Canada after 40 years. In a statement, Sportsnet said “following further discussions with Don Cherry after Saturday night's broadcast, it has been decided it is the right time for him to immediately step down.”
