“I just stuck around until I fell back in love with her” …. I think you’re saving several marriages with this. Because the way Satan would whisper loudly in your ear that the love will never return is a different kind of warfare.

This the realist most truthful explanation of marriage that ive seen and heard in awhile. A lot of people need to know and hear this. The most powerful line he said was, "i cant tell you how many times i then fell out of love with juliet. I just stayed until i fell back on love again." Bar.

Not talking to both at the same time 😂😮 No but seriously love is a choice because I’ve been married for 11 years and been with my husband for 20 years. Somedays we are in love and other days we get on each other’s nerves. It took us 10 years being a hot mess and doing life with each other the wrong and ignorant way in our 20s before God woke us up to how to really love each-other and what that meant in His eyes. We’re not perfect but we’re working to be better allowing God to lead us while showing our 4 kids the right way to love and not the worldly way. 🫶🏾

To fall in or out of love is to say love is simply a feeling. However, it’s a choice to desire TO DO for someone and TO DO on behalf of someone else even when they are not at their best or you are not at your best. But love is not a choice. It’s an act of the will accompanied by emotions led by actions on behalf of its object. So love is an action because you DESIRE TO DO for someone else. The question now is whose will is the statement referring to?

That’s normal though. I just thought everyone knew that. Everyone I know that has been married for decades has gone through that. But their friendship, respect for one another, and God has kept them together. They always come back together. Sometimes it takes years. But the enemy is not your spouse. It’s your two against whatever is coming between you.
@tonyaharris4204
@tonyaharris4204 13 күн бұрын
@@latoyaamb3r I thank you and wish there was a way to hit the like and dislike button because it was good to share and yes I know now that it’s not the spouse that we are fighting against it’s the spirit in that person at the time. I know and understand that the spouse doesn’t have that much power to upset or tear anything apart but the enemy knows the past hurts and triggers and uses those things to separate people however both parties have to understand that. I know that now and knowing that comes by and by however a lot of people are not aware of the God, enemy, stay and/ or come back together dance. Hurt people hurt people and when you are hurt you cannot see straight or wisely. However what I can say is that it’s important that both must or should marry someone that is their friend and there must be communication healthy and unlimited communication. how ever at the end of it all God will have His say and will get the glory because we know that all things work together for our good to those who are called. It’s always bigger than us.

No excuses for letting your body go , get into the gym . No excuses if you made a “vow “ to be with each other then you vowed to be committed , yes that means looking good , because fitness is a healthy lifestyle . Often times so many people let themselves go because they’re comfortable…. Well, that might the very thing that costs many people .

Not true at all. Life be lifing for A LOT of people. That's life so there are things that happen that can cause people to "let themselves go". But as he said "there are seasons" in life. Get back to it together and encourage your partner and inspire them not berate them. Allow the seasons to happen and not give up. What was once young will get old and bodies change with children, stress, jobs, lifestyle, medical conditions etc.

its true AAAAAAND on the flip side, if you can't have love and patience while your beloved comes back into health and healing, then your vow wasn't a vow, it was a superficial commitment to vanity. I'm saying this 13 years in, after body issues and actually seeing more love at my heaviest etc, than when I was thin and beautiful ., still am beautiful, just different. and Now i get to freely walk back into health without the superficial expectation that i HAVE to do this for a spouse, but rather for my 9 and by conjunction, OUR) longevity... just sharing a real life experience.

It’s you two against the issues. Dont make each other the enemy. pray together and draw closer to God. Pray for God to cover yall and give you the fruit of the spirit that you still handle each other with care love respect patience kindness temperance during the seasons you’re not in love but still committed to loving each other no matter what. That’s the vows are for. For remembering your commitment even when you don’t feel like it.

People don't fall out of real love. You were never in love in the first place... Fact is most people are not really in love, they are infatuated with the person and what is being talked about is a cycle of jump starting and reigniting the feelings of infatuation over and over again... A lot of times people will never actually meet the ;love of their life or who they really desire to be with so this is what they have to do to not be alone. Play these mind games to make themselves feel like they are in love...

You’re wrong and it’s ok. Yes plenty of ppl get stuck in seeking infatuation instead of mature love or they chase intensity instead of intimacy. Some suffer from limerence etc. But to say certain people aren’t really in love because they have seasons of less romance less intense feelings doesn’t mean they aren’t in love with their partner. All emotions and feelings are fleeting but love is more than that it’s a commitment, duty, call to action, and essentially a discipline.

Bro I been saying this for years. I don’t think it’s possible to fall out of real love or people change after marriage. We just choose to Ignore certain red flags then say they changed when we married. No u ignored it thinking it would change in marriage. Find what u can tolerate. Yes I’m single but because it took me time to heal my wounds as a kid to grown man. I’ve only been in love once in high school and early 20’s. I never got tired of her. Nothing she did made me not love her. I just think it’s unfortunate that we will find real love multiple times in life but it may be possible.
@94ftoflogic_idr14

@@jeffphillips6506 bro you’re describing infatuation/limerence and borderline idealization of the woman. “ nothing she ever did made me not love her “ everyone and I mean everyone has some habit or pattern that annoys you. Love is absolutely accepting the red flags in another love would also allow both of you to accept where y’all can grow to better the relationship. In the honeymoon stage which can last 3-5 years those unmet needs from childhood etc don’t necessarily show up but they also do after the dopamine drops back to baseline.

@@94ftoflogic_idr14 that’s the problem those childhood issues show up in the beginning if we listen and pay attention and not be so stuck on how she look or how much we like her. Listen with the spirit not the flesh. I’m one conversation if y’all talk an hr or so as a real man lead by God u will know right then if she’s someone u can build with. We just don’t listen. We always as men wanna lead so much that we over talk them and miss the red flags

You make perfect sense but make sense of the fact the N word is now used a tool for us and a weapon for non-black people. I think when using the N word it doesn’t represent mental slavery for us anymore because we KNOW our history and struggles and victories and the N word is describing REAL feelings and honesty. Just like cussing is not good to say but it is not a factor or way of living, it’s a way making people understand you because unfortunately ppl don’t hear you unless you can relate to them about your frustrations and your points to describe tough feelings. It takes real work to cuss out someone without cussing and it take real effort to not use the N word among your black peers without connecting with them on a level that no one else can has personal access to. Other cultures have there slang/racial slurs towards EACHOTHER even though their history is rich. But you right. 🤷🏾‍♀️
