As a single young bachelor hearing this was quite insightful. Gotta be honest I’m not a Christian but more spiritual to say the least, Ive struggled with porn & masturbation throughout my teenage and young adulthood years. Granted I’ve gotten better with avoiding it and picking up healthier habits/hobbies. But I notice when I get the craving of lust that comes around every once in a while I get caught up into feeding into which disgusts me internally because I know it wasn’t something I wanted to do but due to trauma and old habits I fall back into it. This video hit my timeline for a reason but a season so I’m holding myself accountable to not only avoid it but to replace that old addiction with a healthy addictions like hiking, running, and meditating. It’s time for a complete reset and healing from it especially while I’m single and so these issues aren’t issues when I do decide to pursue a beautiful woman for a relationship. *I wrote this to hold myself accountable and to understand I have flaws and I want to be better for myself.*

As a female and a Christian, I never considered that scripture in the way you delivered it as it relates to porn. Many don't typically relay women to porn but some of us are addicted. A guy that I've known recently shared that he's interested in me but did mention to me that he does watch porn. OMG and I've experienced the same, but I just haven't told him all about me as I have trust issues. Your message truly came about at the right time. I needed to hear this! My wife and I are believers. However, when it comes to intimacy and sex, it is severely lacking. It’s never a priority. What makes it worse is when I bring it to her attention, it’s always something that I’m not doing. She would say things like, “I’m tired…It’s too late….You didn’t spend enough time with me.” When I try to correct, sex sometimes occurs. However, if I had to guess, sex occurs probably once a month? In order for that to happen, I have to do all of those things, take her on dates, cook her dinner, or even watch a movie. Most importantly, she has to have a clear mind and be emotionally stable. Hey brother, it sounds like she's trying to communicate to you that she feels undervalued. One of the biggest turn-ons for women is when a man demonstrates with his words, actions, and intent (all in alignment) that he is willing to go to the ends of the earth for her - not because she told him to or hinted for him to, but because he decided to and deeply desired to. Once you're in a much more vital, healthy state and not trying to "extract" sex from her, or make her feel guilty for not "putting out"...watch how easy it becomes for her to initiate the intimacy! If she can sense you wanting it all the time, it repels her. Once you start focusing on other things and caring for her and your child without *needing* it so much....she'll start wanting it even more then you! Basically, your energy is off. That’s the point of this video. An addiction forms to the dopamine release and the behavior is used to deal with the feelings stemming from personal issues instead of actually dealing with the issues themselves.

My point is that just because someone is married, doesn’t mean they are “cured” from their desire to watch porn or masturbate or whatever. Having a sex partner doesn’t cure what is really a self-control issue (which is really a symptom of something even deeper than that). A lot of times, getting married and having a sex partner will put a magnifying glass on the issue because if you don’t deal with it while you’re single, it DOES creep into your marriage, and then you have whatever repercussions come from that.
