This video shows you how to install the Enlight Xenon HID systems on the 2014+ GMC Sierra trucks. The Chevy Silverado installation will be very similar. Also if your truck has the reflector style headlights, installation will be similar but the bulbs are different!

Installed my HID kit with much help from this video. Thanks for the instructional video and the quality products. Also for the nay sayers I had previously installed LED lights, due to the engineering of the light with two LED's one on top and one on bottom instead of one pointed directly out they did not produce a fully illuminated projector IE they sucked. This is the way to go, don't waist your time or money like I did.

I have a 2014 Silverado. Installed an hid kit from diode dynamics(before I found this video) with a relay pack that has some sort of pack in it(diodes?). I get a whining sound inside the truck when the daytime running lights are on. No whine when I flip the headlight switch to on or off. Only when daytime running lights on. Any help?

I installed a HID conversion kit along with battery relay harness and the HID's work fine until I start the engine. Then the relay buzzes like crazy and HID's flicker very fast and it won't stop. With engine turned off they work just fine. Any suggestions? I see you didn't have a problem on your 2014 Sierra.

Ed S. You need an anti-flicker module for the relay harness. we include this for all SLE and base model Sierras.

I have a 2014 Silverado and noticed that this kit does not include any error cancelers or capacitors. Could you explain why your kit does not need the error capacitors. Thanks!

+someone1742 At this time we have no reported issues with our systems on the Sierra version of the truck. If there is a PWM control on the factory electronics system it is operating at a high enough frequency which does not cause the relay to disengage. We do have capacitors and decoder modules available but have yet to find the need for them on the Sierra version of the truck when using a full relay harness. The truck in the video had no issues, even after several months of operation. If we ever find that it becomes necessary, we will add them to the kits.

Installed my HID system today; however, I am projecting small round light above and a wave effect from the lights, not a straight beam of light across. Can the bulb be installed upside down?

do new model style trucks need a relay? because i have a 2014 silverado and when i turn on my truck with my hids it stays on for like 5 seconds then turn off

+GucCi GUCci Every truck is different. We use a relay harness on all our kits where applicable. It prevents a lot of problems. As for your truck, it sounds like you have the "approach lighting" feature turned on. When you unlock the truck it turns the headlights on for a few seconds and then shuts off. You can disable it in the dash menu usually.

+GucCi GUCci I've seen HID Kits on a 2014 silverado work without a relay but they only lasted a few months. I would still recommend you use a relay harness with any kit you have. +GucCi GUCci Here is an update about your question. The SLE Models without the factory LED running lights DO need a canbus/capacitor module. However the SLT models and Denali models with factory LED running lights DO NOT need a capacitor module. It appears that all of the Silverado models do need a capacitor module as well. So as of now just to make sure the kit is compatible will all models and versions, all GMC Sierra and Silverado kits from Enlight will include a capacitor as part of the relay harness.

+SonidoXtreme The stock projectors are dual-beam projectors. That is, it has both low beam and high beam function. So when you get the HID system, you will get both HID low beam and HID high beam function. The kit comes with a relay harness.

We have tested many many LED "headlight" systems on the market today. There are simply no LED headlight systems on the market that can compete with a proper HID system in terms of lumen output, beam pattern, fitment, and reliability. You need around 30 Watts of true LED power to match the brightness of our HID systems. Every "high power" LED system we have tested does not have sustainable operating temperatures even when the ambient temperature is >20C. In hot climates the problem would be even worse, causeing a significant reduction in lifespan. We were so disappointed with all of the LED headlight systems on the market we started designing our own and hope to bring it to market in the future.

+Gustavo Fernandez The the best of my knowledge, the installation process for all versions of the 2014+ Sierras will be almost the same. The main thing that may be different is how you mount the HID ballasts. This will change depending on what type of ballasts you get.

The bulbs come with the seal already on the wires. The seal is part of the bulb harness.
