Hi Katie! Just discovered your channel, and a loved all the videos 😍 super useful 💖 I just have one question and I hope you can help me! 😁 why do you sew the elastic on the sides?? Is it like super necessary? Or is a step I can avoid (I don’t if that’s the correct word, sorry 🤭) I really hope you can keep posting videos 😍 kisses from Chile 🇨🇱💖

Hi Katie! Love your videos! Is there a way to make this one a reversible?
@EdgewaterAve4 жыл бұрын
Yes! Instead of top stitching the strap channels, seam rip a hole in the channel while you're inside out. Or you can leave a gap when sewing. Just make sure the threads won't unravel!

Hey Katie its the girl who got stuck the other day lol....now I'm stuck on putting elastic on the strings. I never used elastic but im trying to do it right. Would you consider doing a video about doing the strings only? Close up I can't turn it right side out cuz it's sewn shut
@EdgewaterAve4 жыл бұрын
That's a great video idea! If your channel is sewn shut it might be because it was sewn too narrow. It might help to add extra seam allowance to prevent this from happening

@@EdgewaterAve ok I'm gonna try to loosen everything ty for responding to me! I turned my niece and my daughter on to your channel. Niece just got new sewing machine for Xmas. Great channel!

hey katie! can you insert the wooly nylon thread into the on the brother 1034D machine?
@averybyun48955 жыл бұрын
Katie Fredrickson: would i tie the wooly nylon string to the regular string and then chain until it’s pulled all the way through or would i have to rethread the whole thing.

Hi, what size of needle do you use?
@EdgewaterAve4 жыл бұрын
I use ballpoint needles or stretch needles, the size depends on the density of the fabric! Here's the needles I've been using recently: amzn.to/3aQginZ

I appreciate the tutorials, but I do wish that you went into more detail and shown if you sewed the elastic as well or if you just "put it on" as you mentioned.
