How to clean EGR Valve on 1.9CDTI 150HP.

Great video, clear angles and great directions. EGR systems on these vehicles are diabolical. Only flaw on what is otherwise a fantastic engine block. I recommend (if stock) a good provent catch can and a decent 3-way seafoam treatment at every service. Just a bad design and arguably forced obsolescence so you buy a new car just to lower emissions. Criminal design if you ask me 👌

Hi can u plz help. I hand just done all this and cleaned etc Put it all back but now my van won’t start, I click it on it goes to start but doesn’t kick in Have I lent on sumthing I shouldn’t of! Please help

I need to move the radiator to put a blanking plate on my egr cooler pipe. Do you have any links or info on how to do that? I can find anything on KZbin. Any help would be appreciated.

🥴For me, the last two screws can be reached directly from below "I think the right tool for this has to be invented first, I removed the pipe and even had to use the vice in the workshop a few times to loosen it

Te ha faltado desmontar la parte Electrica de la válvula con cuatro tornillos , ahí si se acumula hollín, reparación parcial. Por lo demás el vídeo bien.

Could u show me where the air intake is in so I can spray sum cleaner into it

Use water .. (distilled water only) little sprays at a time and it will turn to steam which gets rid of carbon build up make sure the car is at operating temp 80-90 degrees and have someone hold the revs to 2-2.5 thousand

I put in brand new valve and now when drive the car is surging , what could be the fault no fault codes thanks

Hi, sorry for late reply. It would be best if you take it to mechanic.

You probably won't need this advice 2 years later but anyone else in the same situation, you'll need a scanner if you put a new one on or just take it to a mechanic who can do it easily.

Anyone knows how many Nm of torque to apply?

EGR valve pipe to exhaust manifold should be torqued to 25Nm
