I add coconut oil to almost every smoothie...LOVE it...many are afraid of it because it is a saturated fat...but medium chain fatty acids work differently in the body...it makes your smoothie very creamy...and the flavored is mild..

Tammy I've been doing hair mask with the coconut oil for about a month now, and not only can i see and feel the difference in my hair, but my hairdresser said, Mari what are you doing with your hair, it looks wonderful and healthy! I told her about the coconut oil mask. I told her about you and how wonderful you are when it comes to health, skincare and just everything. She can't want to look for you on youtube! Thank you once again for all you do for all of us!

Hi Tammy, just wanted to let you know that the coconut and avocado combo for hair mask is simply divine. I've tried this hair mask combo for two weeks and my hair is softer and silkier(sp?). I thought that coconut was great but with the avocado, WOW! Your're the best! Thank you!

I love making aspirin masks! I don't even crush them first because the water (I start with just enough to make them soggy) dissolves them to a nice consistancy with no lumps. Then I add what ever else (like honey etc). I love your ideas! Can't wait to try all of these!

Great video Tammy. I LOVE DIY beauty concoctions. When I was younger and had some blemishes my mother would have me lather up my face with Dove or Ivory soap and massage in a tablespoon of extra fine sugar and some honey with a couple of drops of oil. After massaging in I let it dry for 20 min. then rinse with warm waterr and pat dry. It always cleared up my oily broken out skin. She learned it from her grandmother from Europe. Keep the DIY coming. Susie

Hi Tammy, I hope all is well with you. I love coconut oil. I've been using it for my hair forever. We used to make our own but it just take too long. Now, I get mine from Vitacost. It's wonderful for black hair. It just makes your hair sooo soft and shiny. But, I never thought to add either grapeseed or avocado oil. I'll it on my test treatment - Friday nights. I haven't done the aspirin and honey mask in over a year. I will have to try it again. Your skin looks lovely!

I loooooved this video! I also mix my own hair mask. It is a little different than yours: I mix olive oil, almond oil, coconut oil, avocado (the fruit itself), lemon juice (or apple vinegar) , honey, egg white, vitamin E and vitamin B ampules (to be on the safe side :) ). This is a wonderful hair mask. It moistures my long hair, makes it shinny and looking very healthy. I just cannot enough recommend this hair mask to anyone. Can't wait to see other DIY mask videos of you!

Those old fashioned bonnet type hair dyers are the best for deep conditioning. My Mom has had one for over 40 years. It's in a pink case, with big pink flowers on the bonnet- that thing is never going to die- LOL- I'm going to try the hair mask- thanks!!

Hi Tammy, great tips! I put the ingredients on my grocery store list. I will try both of these masks. Your hair looked so soft and shiny, and your face looked very smooth and glowed. Right now, for deep conditioning, I use Clairol Nice 'n Easy Colorseal Conditioning Gloss weekly. For a face mask, I use one of the walmart $2 masks in the individual packages once a week, except for the chocolate one. I can't use that one. It irritates my skin. I love the cucumber one though. I am giving up all branded cleansers, toners etc. I think the whole food, homemade is the way to go! I've been researching and reading about all the rubbish that goes into some of these high end products and have from my own experience that coconut oil is by far the BEST for all skins and my face has never looked or felt better and it all began with you!! I miss you when you're not around haha. Forget other things and stay with us flower, we LOVE YOU:-*

Hi Tammy! I make this aspirin mask too with regular honey, never heard of this manuka honey and I will try to find it, I add 3-4 drops of lemon juice to the aspirin and let it desolve and then add the honey. I find it desolves better this way and I feel that the lemon drops are good for my skin. I too did the coconut oil mask and was great but now I am trying a new one with monoi oil, jojoba oil and I also add a few drops of vegetable glycerin and a few drops of vitamin E. G :-))
@MsSmiley22312 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much for the Manuka honey tip. I've only ever used organic honey before, but I'll definitely try this honey next time I do a face mask and I'll also try the aspirin. I think it's always better to go natural. As always, you teach me something new with every video.

You can apply it everyday...I prefer night since it is a bit on the "oily"side...all you need is a dab warmed up in your hands...spread it on like you would moisture...if you use a serum always apply that first allowing the serum to absorb for about 5 minutes....COCONUT oil is fabulous...

Hi Tammy, I wash my hair with bicarbonate of soda. It leaves it nice and soft, with no need for a conditioner (I have shoulder length hair). I make a solution of bicarbonate and water. If you have too much bicarbonate there will be grains at the bottom of the container, it doesn't matter user some of the solution, then add more water, they will dissolve Hugs Jean
