did I miss the part where there is an audible voice over track that is explaining the fast motion?
@416Expedition10 ай бұрын
Hey @Dwave900, Not sure what you mean. If you are referring to a voice over explaining in detail of the install process, then no you didn't miss anything. This was a video on how I installed the backup camera in a glans. More like a "How I Install" type of video. With that said, I am still finding my way in the KZbin Verse on how to do videos. I am always looking to not only better my videos but also grow. So there's always room for improving. Thanks for your comment.

I have the same vehicle, would love to find a wireless option for that so I don't have to run wires
@416Expedition7 ай бұрын
Hey @chrish9836, Running wires isn't my preferred method, but its the most coast effective though! There are quite a few wireless option out there, but most of them are on the high side of the price. Then if you want a good reliable option, then the price goes higher! Look into Garmin, their wireless cameras are high quality. I have plans for installing a front camera, so stay tuned to see that one. Thank for your comment.

Where did you route the wire. Didn't see any install just mounting.
@416Expedition2 ай бұрын
Hey @ShortbusRejects, Take a look at the time stamp 3:08, That's when I started running the wire. For the hatch, I followed the factory wiring harness pass through the rubber tube then went to the driver side and along the floor to the front up into the dash and to the radio. There are many ways to do this, but this is how I did it. Hope this helps.

Where did you tap into power for the rear camera?
@416Expedition7 ай бұрын
Hey @rickyandpjholder5937, Thanks for you r question. I installed a fuse box in the back for all of my stuff that I want to have power in the back. Also I wanted the camera to have power all the time when turn the key on because I want the option to see the camera even when I'm driving. So I tapped into to that fuse box. Now if I didn't have that fuse box, I would have to run a separate cable to the 12v plug (cigarette lighter plug) that is on the back passenger side panel as that has constant power. Now if I didn't want to have a live view, then I would have tapped into the reveres back light where the tail light is (either side left or right it wouldn't matter) so when I was to put the truck in gear and when the reveres light turns on, it would power the camera. Hope that helps Ricky.

if you don’t mind me asking, what kind of screen do you have and what kind of backup camera did you buy because I have a Yukon and I’m looking to buy a screen for it and a back up camera, but I can’t really find any that. would you know work and I don’t wanna waste my money and then happen to return something if you can tell me that would be great thank you?

Hey @americanzacke . Thanks for watching the video and asking you question. The deck that I have in my Yukon it's by Enon. Honestly, I'm not to happy with this deck! Just above the screen, the molding that the Yukon has pops out a bit because it snaps to the deck! it's as if the mounting points for the factory molding on the deck is about a 1/4 inch too narrow. It's not horrible but I wouldn't recommend this deck! Now for the camera, I would recommend this one! I love the look. It gives off a stock vibe. But unfortunately it doesn't look like Amazon has them in stock! But I'll send you some links still. Canada: amzn.to/4c7aqXA Outside of Canada: amzn.to/4c7aTJk
