I thought about going this route to test Linotype against #2 cast bullets. But coming up with 177 BB gun that fired a steel BB at 590fps was a problem. NDR

To make sure it is calibrated you either have to compare two loads with real gel, or get one of those bb guns that has multiple pumps and see how many pumps it takes to get the BB at the proper velocity through a chronograph. But to be honest I have another video coming out that will hopefully deter people from doing DIY gel and just getting the real stuff.

Any suggestions for those of us who don't have a compressor?

LOTS of elbow grease, four letter words, and testosterone. But seriously this stuff is NO fun to get out without a compressor. It is like asking how to jack up a car without a jack sure you can get metal poles and a bunch of friends or something, but it is just better to do it right.
