Fantastic looking bed and I am going to make one for my new place. A previous viewer commented about having a rounded corner at the front so you dont crash you shin/leg on a sharp edge - so I will be rounding my ends off. Also I prefer a shorter overhang bc when I swing my legs out of the bed they always seem to crash on the darn ledge. Maybe thats just me but its really annoying to keep hitting the ledge. So on my bed the ledge will be a LOT less - say 2 inches. You mentioned that you cut the piece at 79 inches despite the bed being 80 inches and you said it was bc you wanted to "burn" one inch. My apologies but I didnt quite understand what they meant. What is 'burning" one inch ? Aside from that the video was go comprehensive I am confident that as a total beginner I could do this build. the centre support beam should have been installed 90 degree to what you did, there is no support in along the length of the plywood in the middle section of each plywood peiece, it will sag. But the bed looks great
